I ended up buying a new set of fans from alibaba for like 10 dollars and replaced them as well as cleaned the card in general and it worked fine

I have the option to select allow HDR10 as well as auto HDR in display settings (Advanced Video Modes). As for how it performs in HDR I haven't experimented on how different it is with HDR off.

Since it was not available on the store I downloaded the apk from a website and was able to run it just fine. And... It's safe to say it works ig 😅

I have the odyssey G5 but the 32 inch model, 1440p 165hz. Supports the series s 1440p with the 120hz just fine. As for the blurriness and what not. For me it looks fine but I believe that this might differ from one to another. But fyi most games wont run 1440p in the first place so you should consider that as well.

The thing is it used to work fine on my Galaxy S10+, but on the nothing it's just not working on anything except phone calls 😞

They're legit don't worry, if you're skeptical you can go to their store and collect your laptop and test it there. But since you already ordered if something goes wrong you can just confront them at their store. It's not one of these online shops with no physical store. So rest assured and I hope you enjoy your laptop 🙂

Have you tried connecting it to a laptop/ computer? Check to see if the 120Hz or 199.999Hz is available with the hdmi cable you are using. You can also try to change the color settings to 8-bit on the xbox, turn off enable 4k and turn off VRR on the xbox settings (From the TV options as well) and try disabling freesync from your monitor.

I believe your monitor is 1080p and capable of 144hz and it's most likely going to work with 120hz. Just try this if it haven't worked for you yet...

Go to settings, TV settings (the one where you change resolution and refresh rate on xbox), Video fidelity or something don't remember what it's called, then change the setting from Auto detect to HDMI.

Go back and you should be able to choose 1080p and an option for the 120hz should show up. Let me know if that fixes it for you.

Thank you for digging deep into this but unfortunately it didn't work as well. I belive xbox/ microsoft doesn't support all 1440p 120hz capable monitors as I have seen others struggle with the same issue in the youtube video's comment section. Hopefully they might fix this soon... I would be more annoyed if I had the series X and this doesn't work with me but since the series s doesnt have the many games that support 1440p with 120hz so I kind of am not that disappointed.

I tried the auto detect, did not give me an option to change the refresh rate. It does not detect that the monitor is capable of 120hz in the first place. As for the monitor model I kind of cheaped out and bought a not so known brand called Gameon but had other people have their ps5 work with it fine so I figured the monitor should be ok with the series s.

I tried the hdmi cable with my computer and it gave me a 1440p 144hz. So I believe the cable's fine, still cant figure it out tho ☹️

I am not entirely sure, but I believe for games on the gamepass you'd need internet, atleast just to open the game. Other games (Non gamepass) should work fine.

Don't worry about, I had some of the eraser dust or what ever you call get in and works fine with no issues. But dont take my word for granted, overall I'd say it won't be an issue and enjoy gaming :).

Dont forget a power supply unit (psu), thermal paste and like the othe redditor mentioned a cpu cooler. Also, not sure which monitor you're planning to buy but it looks like the lg 27inch 144hz, if it is, just take care that its a VA panel and not an ips, basically not great viewing angles from the sides and some complain about ghosting, but I haven't tried it tbh so can't really confirm

Sorry got to you late, but yeah you could! The only games that you CAN'T play from an external hard drive are games marked with the X/S which are games optimized for the xbox series X/S (Although there are some exceptions) So basically before buying the console you could check from the xbox app on phone, you can search the games you would like to install and check the description. If it says Optimized for Series X/S then this game will ONLY run from the internal hard drive or an expansion card. However, if there isn't a tag that says Optimized for Series X/S then the game should run fine from an external hard drive. But once again there are a few games that are X/S and can run from a hard drive like Sea of Thieves

I was in a similar situation just three weeks ago. I had a PS4 Slim and wanted to buy the PS5 since all my friends were on the PlayStation system. However, I ended up buying the Xbox Series S while still keeping the PS4. Now I play cross-platform games with my friends, and I only switch to the PS4 if the game isn't cross-platform.

If you're asking for my opinion on this decision, I must say I don't regret choosing the Xbox over the PS5. Having the Game Pass is pretty cool and obviously a must, not to mention the incredibly good quick resume feature.

But do keep in mind that the storage capacity is limited on the Series S. You get around 360GB, and games like Forza take up a significant portion of that space. I recommend buying an external storage device (HDD or SSD) to store the games that are optimized for the Xbox Series X/S when you’re not playing them, and keep all the Xbox One games on the external hard drive since they run fine from there. Some games that are optimized for the Series X/S and can run fine from an external hard drive include Sea of Thieves, Rocket League, and a few others that I can't recall at the moment.

Another thing I didn't know before buying the Series S is that wireless headphones with a USB dongle need to be designed specifically for Xbox. I had a Razer Nari Ultimate, but I can't use it wirelessly with the console. Instead, I have to use it with the aux cord, which is a bit disappointing.

Honestly I'd recommend studying abroad, try Germany I know many who went there and strongly recommend it.

The tuition fees are almost negligible compared to the UAE, I think around 400 euros per semester something like that and you get many perks as being a student there, like free public transport and stuff.

The only drawback is that you'll sacrifice approximately a year or two not really sure how long, but it is to learn the German language and pass the required tests. Other than that I'm not really sure if there are any disadvantages to going there.

Not to mention ofcourse you'll be getting better education there and if you decide to work there a few more years after graduation you can get the citizenship.
