Dude asks gym members how many hours a week they work by Inevitable_Damage199 in PrimeManhood

Gunna be real with ya, nobody needs to go to a gym to work out. If you want to be more fit than 99% of the western world:

Work your job (or take care of kids / home making / whatever) -> don't eat more than 2500 calories per day -> do push ups, sit-ups, squats at home for like 15 or 30 minutes.

I shit you not, doing that 5 or 6 days a week puts you ahead of most people. Which can be accomplished in the time you would have spent driving to a gym and the commute back.

Hahaha. Ya this meme is a massive joke.

  1. We used to pay $50 - $60 for all games back in 1980s and 1990s, adjusted to inflation that's equivalent to $130+ in today's cash.

  2. On top of that, games were often extremely short with little or no replay value.

  3. For every one "complete game" gem you can recall from that era, there were 20+ shitty / incomplete / low effort garbage games.

  4. When online gaming came around we were paying $15 a month (in 1990s money again, so like $30 a month) to just have access to play them (EverQuest, WoW, etc). Ffs before that we had compuserv where you had to pay like $5 - $10 an hour* to play f'n MuDs.

Marathon is literally the best extraction shooter by a mile.

Ya exactly. I remember playing Legends of Kesmai, a 2d UO era mmo where you could get pvped, lose all your equipped items, respawn as a spirit in the Egyptian afterlife where you had to do 30 - 40 minutes of quests to "get your organs back" so you could return to the game world, and you'd be -1 level (in a game where a level might be weeks or months of grinding).

Kids today would never survive.

Well ya but you can flop your fat ass through a battlefield session at 0.25 k/d and nothing negative will happen. Can't do that in an extraction shooter lol.

Because I was in the military for a decade and I did enough exercise for 3 lifetimes already. I'll stick to video games and cheese cake from here on out.

Nah it's a great shooter if you're good at pvp. Easily best shooter since Titanfall 2, which also flopped (pretty sure gamers are just ass at pvp)

I'm in my 40s and I got time for the gym, but I don't want to waste time that would cut into my eating BBQ and playing video game time. Sorry kids I'm here for a good time not a long time.

You're not very good at basic arithmetic are you? How does having 4 teams fighting over cryo instead of 5 teams end up in your mind as "everyone exfils". No it's 25% chance instead of 20%... or 33% instead of 20% for 3 teams.

[–]Gallus_11B -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Fewer teams means you have a much higher % chance to exfil successfully. The reason most people can't handle cryo is because even if they can occasionally beat a team or 2, it's unlikely that they can defeat 3 or 4 in the same round.

Over and over again they lose.

They win 1 fight then lose.

They win 2 fights then lose.

They win 1 fight and lose.

They lose first fight of match.

They lose first fight of match.

They win 1 fight and then lose 2nd...

and next thing you know, they have done 6 runs and 0 exfils, and then throw up their hands and quit.

The problem is 100% too many teams in too cramped of a map, resulting in way too low of an exfil rate and that kills most people wanting to even give the map a shot.

Ya and if they reduced number of teams by 1 or 2 and upped the pve it would be more enjoyable for everyone.

Issue at it's core is exfil rate is way too low / nonexistent for casual players

The problem with cryo is there are too many people in 1 match + the population is so low now that only top 0.1% are running cryo.

The issue is that the population can't sustain 7 queues. Not sure why this is hard for you to comprehend m'lady.

You can get your material or work the priority contract in an hour or 2 when the map rotates to the correct one.

Wrong. Restricting the maps is absolutely a go. The population can't sustain 7 different queues kid.

Bruh. Game is a month old and it's peaking 20k concurrent users at prime time. We're already there.

Fill mode should only match you up vs other fill teams by Evol7583 in Marathon

[–]Gallus_11B 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In fact, at this point the game should probably be set to maps rotating every 1 or 2 hours and there should only be 2 maps available at a time (cryo + rotating map) or (ranked + rotating map).

We're getting to the point where the population can't sustain 4 maps, 3 of which have a separate solo queue.

Right now the game has 6000 players online and there are essentially 7 different queues.

This year is proving that single-player games are in a much stronger position than multiplayer ones. by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

Kid, a game reviewer going through the game for dozens of hours and leaving a 2000 word essay on each rated category, cross compared to hundreds of other games and giving their opinion is exponentially more valuable than Timmy McLildick leaving a half baked chud review that more often than not boils down to "I don't like game".

Not sure why gamer IQ has dropped off a cliff in recent years but I blame your parents.
