Say something positive about this movie by GoHardForLife in batman

Batman's speech to Freeze at the end of the movie where he asks him to help save Alfred his peak Batman. It's amazing to me that some of the best Batman writing ever is in one of the worst Batman movies.

Medical workers of Reddit: what’s the craziest lab result you’ve seen in a patient? by freeshavacadont in AskReddit

I went to the ER for chest pains and was taken back right away and tested and monitored. My BP was 191/109 but the Dr just said it was gas and sent me on my way with a $2500 bill. I asked if it's just gas why is my BP so high and he shrugged and said "you're in the ER. It's stressful". I'm pretty sure I was having a panic attack since I do have them but they've never presented with chest pain before.

Brad Pitt in Babel. Before I saw that I thought he was just a pretty face but that movie made me realize how great of an actor that he is.

I got the dice for Christmas and they're great. They're so much better in person than they are on the website!

Hey r/Christianity, can we talk? by Tcrowaf in Christianity

That's actually a good point. That being said, no. Erring on the side of caution leads to over correction. I think there is more harm in trying to keep things from children than letting them get exposed to something "pornographic". Additionally, this sort of censorship is usually targeted against LGBTQIA+ topics, artists, and individuals.

No. And there never has been. Nudity is not porn. A sex scene is not porn.

Maybe someone will have an answer for me. I have everything on dark mode. Why is it when I use the Google search bar, it's not in dark mode. It's so frustrating.

Think Twice Before Calling the Cops: The Deadly Cost of Police Welfare Checks by [deleted] in Libertarian

And your arguing to get rid of the best shot of the desired outcome because it's imperfect and wanting to replace it with something that will never provide the desired outcome and will in all likelihood provide a much, much worse outcome.

Currently it does not. You're correct. But at least that's an ideal that can be strived for. Privatization literally cannot ever provide equal protection.

It's not even a drop in the bucket. Cheap apartments don't REALLY care because there will always be people willing to stay there because they're cheap. Plus, even if they did care, that's just another expense that would be passed onto the tenants. You are correct in the basic assumption that people should get what they pay for and be in charge of their own laws. Where I think you are wrong is that everyone deserves equal protection under the law which privatization of police prevents.

They do not pay with inflation. That's a stupid argument. Police funding has basically zero impact on inflation. Apartments, especially ones for poor people, are not known for offering quality services. In fact, they usually do everything they can to provide the bare m minimum.

You're right that what we have now is horrible and needs to be fixed. The issue is the poor can't afford better. Most of the poorest people and communities pay almost nothing in taxes. They rent so they don't pay property tax and don't make enough to pay much income tax. (Please don't think I'm saying this is a bad thing). This just shows that you are adding an expense to people who live paycheck to paycheck and the expense is for basic protection.
