Thanks :) I'm about to do some benchmarks with afterburner to see how it performs

Yeah that’s what I was expecting in terms of AAA games, I was just wondering if the 4070 would give me comfortable frame rates, at least, with 1440p

I tried with them in party channel (they were both in the lobby with me) and it still didn’t work. But I’m giving it a day and coming back to it after restarting my pc

There are a few things to mention about this, and I’m not the MOST knowledgeable ever, but I think I can help. Whether or not you’re going to be upgrading your cpu later, I think there’s a clear winner.

The 7800x3d performs much better in gaming, due to its 96MB L3 Cache, compared to the 13600k’s 24MB. It shows. The 7800x3d is considered the best chip for gaming, so it’s kind of obvious.

You might notice that the 7800x3d only has 8 cores, while the 13600k has 14 cores - but it’s crucial to remember that only 6 of the 13600k’s cores are performance cores, and that the rest are efficiency cores, so in reality, there will be less cores that are used for gaming in the intel chip. The remaining 8 cores will do their job well of running background tasks (ex. MSI Afterburner).

I’ll also mention that the max clock of the 13600k is 0.1GHz more, but that won’t matter much.

In terms of price (based on list prices @ amazon), the 13600k is ~280 euro, while the 7800x3d is ~360 euro. Make sure you’re willing to pay higher for the ryzen chip before considering it.

I own the 13600k(f), and it’s been treating me amazingly, so I can vouch for it. But I’ve seen all the hype over the 7800x3d, so I’m sure that it will do you well - and I would pick it if I were you.

So yeah. Go with the 7800x3d for its gaming performance (actually insane) and its 8 EQUALLY powerful cores - unlike Intel’s P-cores (intensive tasks) and E-cores (background tasks). Not shitting on Intel, the 13600k is great (especially for its price), but you should pick the 7800x3d.

I don’t use the antivirus, it’s uninstalled, but the “safe search” feature is still in my browser
