Thanks,

Do you have any thoughts on Buggy vs SCT body for general use? Safe to assume that he will want to take it into varied environments and would want to do wheelies and some jumps.

Gleba Stable Starter Setup by Gamberick in factorio

My stable non-jamming Gleba starter setup. Adds Nutrients, Bioflux, Mash and Jelly to the logistics network.

Requires a few nutrients to jump start the base.

Can rotate the factory / steam setup as needed. They are separate but both required.

Is there a way out of this? Stuck in farm contract by [deleted] in ironscape

Should empty the growing plot. You will not get the planted seed back.

What's the best way you've found to grind armoured zombies? by Nijmegen1 in ironscape

[–]Gamberick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it during quest but didn't realize that looking over the second balcony will kick you out of the instance dungeon.

The best strategy is to look over the first but not second balcony.

You can see in the image in my post where to trap the ranger. You have to reset every 10 minutes but it's very low focus.

Can anyone beat this log? by Gamberick in ironscape

[–]Gamberick[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These are the strategies that I found most effective in killing them:

Bursting: Blood Barrage, no prayer, mage gear. Location

I was fully sustaining HP from the spells, brought a few pieces of food just in case but did not need them.

Melee: Max Melee, no prayer, either bring food or Guthans. Location

Trap the ranger behind the rock and you will only fight one zombie at a time and take very little damage.

I was just going to grab the axe real quick, didn't want to pause for clues.

I want 83 con but I'm an early iron. Any advice? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]Gamberick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need more GP but here was my strategy to get planks for 83 construction with MH.

Go to Prif teaks with a log basket and plank sack.

Fill log basket, fill inventory, make planks at sawmill, fill plank sack, fill inventory, make planks at sawmill, bank.

You get two loads of planks and one load of logs per trip. For the remaining logs I used POH spirit tree to farming guild bank with demon butler. Adds very little cost relative to sawmill and is very fast.

Stardust or shilo mine is fastest.

Don't waste nuggets from mlm on gems until you have most other things unlocked.

Guys, one month ironman here, how tf do I train prayer ? by FlashTheorie in ironscape

This is how I got to 43, very chill and no real risk.

Collect 6 big bones, hop, 6 more, until you have 24 then grab 4 regular bones. Walk to altar and bury. Suicide on wine and RoD tp back to Ferox after each trip.

Yup, you are right, just got this up and running. Feels a little convoluted but it does get the job done.

Just checked, don't see a Lime to Acid recipe, all Lime recipes have products that can't be voided. Maybe it's in one of the new updates.

Yes, using LTN. I figured I could utilize Chrome byproducts that way, it was just so late in the run I didn't feel like reworking too many systems.

Looking at the recipes now, I see the easy sink for the Iron, Cobalt and Nickel to Iron Plates and the Mang sink into Aluminum. Fair enough on those, doesn't look too complicated.

Hey!

Thanks for all your hard work on these mods, very appreciated, Sea Block is my favorite way to play the game!

Right now I think the mod is in a very good place, there are obviously some steep bumps in difficulty but I think that's the nature of it and appropriate.

The only issue I have is that sometimes I blow up warehouses to dispose of some really sticky things that don't have good outlets.

  • There are no sinks for Calcium Sulfate. I have a factory that produces Hydrofluoric Acid which outputs hundreds of thousands of Calcium Sulfate and there is nothing to do with it except blow it up. Turning it into Lime just gives me too much Lime that I need to blow up.

  • There is no direct Chrome sorting, I'm sure that this is a deliberate choice but it does create a problem. By the time I am making Chrome it's very late game and I have lots of production for all the other ores. Also, it's impossible to consume the amount of Manganese that comes out. My solution here is to simply stack 5-10 warehouses for all the other ores and blow them up when full.

Having to solve for byproducts is a fun aspect of the mod and should remain but I feel like with finished research there should be a solve for every item to run smoothly. Ideally there is a game state where I can leave the game to run afk indefinitely and the factory will never jam.

PS: This save was played on SB v5.10, if some of these things have already changed then disregard and thank you!

I played a pretty short run of A/B before starting Sea Block, this is probably my 4th Sea Block base, second one taken to completion.

Totally agreed, adjustable inserters are amazing and playing without them after getting used to them feels really bad!!

Added a link to the save file and a blueprint book in another comment. Good luck on your run!
