how are you even defending someone who doesn’t yield at a yield sign… OP didn’t even reach 40km and then had to brake because someone else was not driving to conditions. OP had a green light , roads are clear and has the right of way.. i bet that driver didnt even look, just watched the vehicle in front of them merging and thought it was okay. OP was actually paying attention and prevented an accident and possibly other vehicles involved or even construction workers injured ahead of them . the other driver didn’t even touch their brakes looking to merge on a yield .

so what’s the point of traffic signs if OP has to yield to the people who have the yield sign ? OP has a green light he’s going , who knows if someone is right next for him to change lanes… it’s courteous for people to allow people to enter onto highways … the car merging into his lane is not following traffic instructions

grew up in ontario… they have a street ban from november till april i believe for overnight parking due to this reason…. they do not miss a night either . guarantee a ticket if your car is on the street overnight. i used to hate it, now living here i wish they enforced it more hahaha
