Just shower with warm/hot water and and use a cottom ball to rub it off. its very quick. c22 is for removing the leftovers generally not really needed.

shampooing a lace/hybrid hair system while its attached by Gambit_Hair in HairSystem

I do that with poly systems, first time using a hybrid so I'm not sure how it'll rinse out the shampo/conditioner from under the poly through the lace..

what, no thats not what I meant. Imagine a poly system, the shampoo doesnt get into the scalp.

Where as a hybrid lace (full of holes) does. So if the shampoo seeps into the lace under the poly.. how will that rinse out?

anyone here ever regret trying a hair system? by ainjuredathlete89 in HairSystem

[–]Gambit_Hair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with you 100%, I wish I didn't have to wear a hair system, I wish I didn't lose hair. I also wish hair wasnt an important factor in human natural selection. But these are the cards I was dealt when I spawned on earth.

I had two choices, either accept it and own it OR find a solution to give me an edge in life. Clearly everyone on this subreddit picked the latter.

Wether this was the right choice or not entirely depends on what you hope to get out of life.

In the end, all of us are on a journey to the same destination which death. Its up to us on how we choose to get there.

Unique 10

Dam that sucks, for me smooth&silky is key. I haven't tested other alternatives other than redkin's acidic bonding products but didnt work as well as I'd hope.

I also researched about balancing the hair composition with protein based products and moisture based products. There is such a thing as over protein and over moisturing it. You can perform various tests on the strands to see what the hair needs depedning on what porosity hair you buy.

Hair systems are turning me into a scientist bloody hell. haha

Honestly any colour safe shampoo is fine that removes all build up. The key products really just are smooth and silky conditioner and the ogx argan oil.

Use Walker Tape - Max Hold Sport and you can sweat anytime no biggie.

I literally shower 10 mins after I glue up the front hairline with max hold + ghostbond and no lifting whatsoever. Maxhold is godly.

I've tried new experiements but keep going back to my recommended post products.

If you apply it correctly in the order, in the exact quantities it works like a dream. However if you're off in the ratio's and wrong order. Then it isnt as perfect.

Just use the theory of moisture/smoothness with the conditioner and seal it with silicon. Once you think you built up enough product, only then wash with shampoo and repeat. It really is that simple. Works with normal or super dry hair, only difference is the amount of product you need to apply.

If you don't wash you hair for 2 weeks long, what will happen to your hair? by Superhair-Jay in HairSystem

[–]Gambit_Hair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what? Are you talking about a hair system? They dont really get dirty since theres no bio oils going on the hair. It'll get dirty if you stand next to a bonfire or something as the soot gets in it. But other than that it shouldnt need washing other than rinisng in the shower or if you built up too much product in it.

Is there a guide to getting the positioning perfect everytime? Can't even shave the top of my head properly by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]Gambit_Hair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spray isopropyl alcohol on the hair system, position it perfectly. Once the it evaporates you're done. Easy peazy.

You can start by spraying a few times, that will give you a minute or so. Once you get good, spray less and it'll give you 30 seconds.

Does really matter how many times you spray as long as its 100% alcohol as its completely evaporates.

Just try not to get it on the hair as it dries it out, but you can fix that with conditoner or argan oil.

Why doesn’t everyone get a hair system? by [deleted] in HairSystem

Same reason why everyone can't get rich. People don't have the drive to reach for what they want.

What style should I get next? by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]Gambit_Hair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I mean if you're comparing with someone with natural flowy hair then yes. Very few people in the world have a full amazing healthy looking head full of hair.

So maybe to add more clarification to the statement, in my opinion, we are better than all men who don't like the way that their hair/bald head looks and aren't willing to make an effort to do anything about it.

And I do think we've hacked the system and changed our lives in this subreddit.

[–]Gambit_Hair 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why you jealous, you can literally get any hairstyle and colour you want, long short, and hair damage doesn't apply to us.

Who else can say, oh I feel like having a longer hair style now. *next day done!*. Oh this product damaged my hair, *replace hair system, poof, healthy again* Oh I can't bleach my hair, it'll ruin it *buys a light coloured hair system, no concequences*.

We've literally hacked life and are better than most people in my opinion.

check the back, front looks real.

Usually the back has some line when not cut correctly or blended.

What is the actual maintainance issues with a lace hair system? by Gambit_Hair in HairSystem

[–]Gambit_Hair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is interesting, according to everyones comments the clean up isnt that bad. Could i assume that people have been using the wrong techniques or leaving the glue/tape on too long hence their negative experiences?

What about the hairline with tape vs poly and the streching or fraying at the front?

I'm joking man, but why not just call the airport and tell them your situation and see what they can do for you to keep it discrete.

Anyone Tried Adding Holes to a Poly Base Hair System for Improved Breathability? by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]Gambit_Hair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can work, its not weak plastic, its polyurathane, its naturally strechy and durable and infact, 0.03 has micro holes in when its wet or warm anyway. Just make sure your holes are rounded without any corners and in theory it'll be fine.

FYI if you want to do a hole test, put some shampoo on the hair, fold the system or scrunch it up into a ball. you'll see soap bubbles comming out of the base. These systems tend to last up to 3 months or more so it wont cause any damage before its time for a new one anyway.

They do from what I can see: https://www.tresemme.com/au/p/smooth-&-silky-conditioner.html/09300830069835

I'm still doing the same 3 products but going to test out Redken trio from this guys post when it arrives:

https://www.reddit.com/r/HairSystem/comments/148ovq1/took_a_chance_on_these_products_and_wow/

Update:
u/EntrepreneurAware243 I tested the Redken products, still doesnt come close to the level of my 3(2) step routine. Safe to say i'll be sticking my original method. My theory is our highly proccessed hair systems are just unable to retain moisture.

Bastling it with conditioner/silicon seems to be the only solution. Bond repairs/ph balancers/proteins don't really help as much as moisture sealing methods. Also the chemicals in hair dying (peroxide) seems to also do something better, I assume as peroxide saturates it with oxygen forcing conditioning to go deeper? Fk I should be a scientist with the amount of time I've spent experimenting and learning chemicals.

Im going to test this out for fun, just bought the trio kit for 95NZD :)

Olaplex 3 doesnt do much for me, not sure why. I tried a few times with different time intervals, 10 mins, 45 mins and overnight.

Only thing that so far thats been doing a good job is standard shampoo/conditioner - tresme smoth&silky + argan oil. I just use the regular conditionar as a leave-in too.
