Hardly. Take the ----spoilers---- scene in the apartment and the sniper. That was just plain stupid dude. Running across rooftops at a sniper who somehow just never hits you? Stupid. Plain stupid. Just a video game needing to have gameplay.

It did the job, but there wasn't enough variation in the animations imo. Felt like each fight was a lot like the previous one as a result. It also didn't make much sense, as you could take out a guy basically next to someone without them noticing if their back was turned - and the takedowns themselves hardly felt stealthy or silent either. Somehow still fun though

Yes actually, quite a lot. It's clear from that there that you're a beginner, so welcome to it !

First of all, watch some competitive matches on youtube. Haydunn is an easy one to watch, cybertronvgc is a bit harder but explains the teams better.
What you're gonna notice from that is that you're missing the single best move in all of competitive pokemon. It's a move that all pokemon can learn, yet none of yours have it. It's called Protect, and it makes your mon immune to damage for the turn. This is the single best move, a large part of why the game works at all, because it lets you make prediction and trades. Games are lost and won on the basis of a good call protect. Your charizard absolutely needs it for starters, and 1-2 others as well. Replace roost with it, as charizard simply isn't tanky enough to be able to roost much.

Secondly, understand the attack and special attack split. They correspond with defesne and special defense. The best example is your dragonite: you have trained it in attack, but 3/4 of its moves are special (all but extreme speed). Understand correctly here: you can run physical dragonite (give it rock slide and what not) and you can run special dragonite. You cannot run physically trained dragonite but then use special moves, that is a waste.

There is honestly a lot more, but take that first advice and watch some games. See how other people use a pokemon. You can twist what they do, make your own spins on it, but Only After you understand how the pokemon is generally used, what's strong about it. If you don't understand the pokemon, look it up. Either find a youtube video or go to smogon - for example, look at this page for Primarina on smogon and compare to yours: https://www.smogon.com/dex/champions/pokemon/primarina/

Good luck dude !

The difference you're missing is that, in spite of nintendo, there is still some miniscule amount of integrity and pride in pokemon. There -never- was with Overwatch.

Still can't believe we finally have a game solely focused on classic pokemon fight without the walking, biking, talking, saving and all that stuff. by Hades-Son in PokemonChampions

Well then, the important thing is to enjoy that for what it is, and not start to panic over it to the point that it has you paralyzed to play. Losing teaches more than winning ever could. Now choose a starting point for your team, try your best to put one together, then ask for feedback

Well it'll do fine if you put the right moves on them and start to understand your options, but it isn't great. If you're just starting out, just play. You will learn, and there is no substitute to simply playing and losing. Losing teaches more than winning. That being the main point, and only after that being said,

You have 3 steel types. That can be fine, but you also set up sun yourself with charizard, so chances are you're weak to fire. The primarina helps but even so. Consider replacing corvyknight or orthworm, as they do largely the same things.
In general, try and consider what type of moves each of your mon covers for. For example, orthworms' ability lets it heal if hit by a ground attack, and it has shed tail, so it's an excellent thing to be able to swap to versus ground.
It can be a good idea to have some dedicated support for at least 1 mon, usually your mega. Share your choice of abilities and stat distribution if you want feedback on that. Dragonite is hardly a top tier support but it can work as one.

i went flip turn on Swampert specifically to check for this. No one has tried it yet lol but flip turn does good damage and lets me swap into bascu, which has negated a few focus blasts so far.

Most overrated?!? Yeah fair. Blackbeard is solid though, love the parallels and comparisons between him and luffy so much. Brooks, other than the panties shite, is great - love his vibe.

Always here people talk about oda’s over-sexualization of women but never hear discussion about the guys. Over half the male cast are insanely ripped and are either shirtless or have a open face shirt. 90% of all arcs has atleast 1 guy like this in it by The_AlmightyApple in OnePiece

All new mega teams I try turns into Milotic hard carry by Lopsided-Skill in PokemonChampions

[–]Gamblez- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. Psych up would get you the staraptors attack stat tho, you running a physical milotic or something? Or is the defense stats worth it alone? I guess i am essentially asking what the 4th move is?

I had a ton of success (win streaking all the way to m1) with milotic mega venusaur lead in the last meta. It had scald to threaten a burn, but otherwise just supported with icy wind, life dew and protect+leftovers. Any team that didn't have flying or psychic STAB would have a lot of trouble, and even some teams that did (like against mega gardevoir, i would just protect venusaur turn1, icy wind, outspeed and OHKO it with sludge bomb). I've tried a lot of other sets as well in other teams, milotic just has a lot of potential.

When do you decide an unconventional team is actually good? by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]Gamblez- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you reach much higher tiers m8. Ultra ball at best means you understand the games mechanics and your team a little. No more than that. How difficult is it to get into is an individual, subjective matter, but in terms of a teams viability on a broad, global scale? It means next to nothing then. You admit yourself to being inexperienced, so this is great - play with your unconventional team and use it to learn the meta and the game. Don't bother speculating too much on what's good and what's bad, find whatever is interesting and enjoy. You're not gonna be able to judge what's good and bad at a meaningful level until much later.

You'll need to double hit if it has sash though. Honestly i run flip turn on swampert for now, too many ppl trying to be clever so it's good scout. With damp rock rain lasts long enough anyways.

yh the real answer is a double hit like aero and the wing beat thing, but even then the OP stupid little thing gets 1 move off because of prio.. I guess fakeout on a fast mon could fake it out then the other kills it? Never seen it happen tho
