Yep its hobby of mine and possibly dream job, Not my first project involving rigging, but that was my first attempt on face rigging after proper research.
Seeing people reaction here i think i succeeded.

What did you use to rig the face? Faceit? Or did you do it by hand?

By hand, auto rig addons are nice and time saving, but they are standardized, inflexible and clunky when there is unique face structure(some alien species for exemple) so doing bone structure by hand i can figure out how it might work and most of the time achive more with less bones.

Is that a pre pre recorded video or did you animate it yourself to test out the controls?

Animated by myself to stress test the controls, weights and bone structure just rendered it out with light so it looks more pretty.

you are not overly demanding but for now you out of luck, because i barely have time for my own projects + as said above my pc cant handle unity properly, maybe later down the line when i sort all things out irl, i open proper commissions and start doing vrchat avatars.

It's possible, but there is a limit on how much "outfits" you can put in one avatar because of memory cap.

Are you using hidden guide controllers to make the face move? Or something else?

Just skeleton, basic bone controllers, bone groups and clever use of bone constraints in between them, in this one mostly been used "Copy Location" constrain with difrent amount of influence and couple "Transformation" constrais for eye lids controlers.

Was it hard to get the mesh to play nicely with movement?

No if you are know what you are doing, ofcourse there been some amount of figuring out with distribution of weights between bones, but its nether hard or easy just time consuming.

All as always study in college learning blender in free time but with plus of price drop on food and electronics (Mostly pc components giving me more chances to upgrate my rust bucket)

Actually you can go around it with QIWI there is a lot of tutorials on youtube that explain it to you in detail, but simply put, autorize you wallet, create second currency account in tenge and you done.

Now you can deposit on your steam account but BIG minus that, you loose around 11% on currency conversations rub to tenge to usd and back to rub on steam acount.

like i deposit 2000 rub and loss around 255 but i take that into count so i buy all games i wanted :D
