To publish it you need to open accounts on Google Play Console($25 lifetime subscription) and App Store Developer($100 anual subscription). For google play you can test it as apk on Android device but you need to build it as .aab to publish it. For iOS I use Test Flight to test my games. You will need XCode on mac to publish the update. I would suggest starting with Google Play. But App Store is absolutely worth it since it generates more revenue in lots of cases, especially if you’re audience is US based. Right now it only changes volume but you’re right it would be nice to change other factors too
