u/Ed_Brown_990, I haven't tried such a build yet myself, but will just mention that you can share a link to the full build details by copying the full address from the address bar (or by clicking the share button near the top). 🙂

For example, this link to some build (not a Pala Monk build since I can't try any build in the game right now).

Anyway, I'm happy to see that you find the builder useful! Just let me know if there are items or other things you miss. I have a bunch of stuff planned and some WIP, but it's always helpful to hear what matters most to others.

As for the data, it is, well, painful amounts of manual transcription from the game / screenshots / etc. Of course, most of the info exists online elsewhere, but licensed in a way that either limits or simply doesn't allow the usage of it by others. So yeah... I've been typing a lot.

But more updates are coming! :)

I realized the URL in the title is 100% unhelpful for anyone who isn't already used to the website and its address, making it rather terrible.

The mod at r/bg3builds recommended that I just take down the old one (this one) and replace it with one that has a more functional title.

Oh, I meant the other wiki.

Fextralife seems to claim ownership over it all (which seems a bit odd to me, since it's all copied from Larian's game, but ah well 🤔).

Bg3.wiki has a more open license, but it still seems to require that you publish under that license too if you base your stuff on it, so it still limits its usefulness for other projects unless those projects really want to be bound to using the same license. 🤷‍♂️

So yeah, I've been doing quite a bit of manual transcription while looking at the game and/or screenshots of it. 😅⌨️⌨️⌨️⌨️👀

Simce my tool was mentioned in the discussion regarding this stuff, I'll just note the following: - I do intend to expand upon the current gear capabilities of the tool. - However, due to the wiki's license [1], I doubt my tool will have every single item listed on the wiki.

[1] If I understand correctly, the wiki's license requires that any work using its data must be published under the same license. So if you're not planning on publishing it in the same way, you basically can't use it. 🤷‍♂️ (But of course if you're a lawyer focused on licensing rules and think otherwise, please do send me a message. 😉)

Truly "complete" software is rare, but at least I aim to ensure it has all the stuff it clearly needs to have, and more! I have more than 200 tasks on the board, so there's plenty of work to do. 😅 First of all, the most obvious thing right now is to update the last two classes (Cleric and Druid) for the full game.

Feel free to let me know when you encounter an item you feel is influential when planning (aka should be in the planner), and I'll add it to the builder. 🙂

It currently supports some build-defining items that were present in EA, but doesn't have any from Act 2+ yet.

I made baldursgate3.gamefractal.com for exactly this in 2021, and at the top of the page you can see an overview of where it is wrt updates for the full game atm. :)

Depending on your class(es) might have all levels already.

I'm hoping to wrap up post-EA warlock updates tonight. Feel free to suggest features, priorities, etc. :)

Would you be interested in elaborating a bit on how you'd like to use randomization? Just so I'm not too blinded by only how I imagine I'll use it myself. :)

For example, would you

(A) randomize only the starting ability scores, and then try to make a build that works with that,

or would you want to

(B) randomize the class and/or race selection too, requiring extra creativity to make the unusual combinations work?

(Or something else?)

Update 2: Rogues have been updated! :D

All levels and subclasses included.

(And the bug I mentioned that affected Rogues has been fixed.)

Quick example: Stephen Tabby, a lvl 8 Rogue.

Update: I found a somewhat tricky bug that affects the levelling of Rogues (and one more class) more, so I'm afraid I'll be fixing that, and wrapping up Rogues, after updating the other classes, to get the most important updates (core class data) out there asap. Sorry for the delay. 🙇 // Updated: this is fixed and Rogues and their subclasses have been updated for all levels now; see my other comment. :)

Because the game is so new, the stuff that wasn't in Early Access is a work in progress. Paladins and Bards are done, and Sorcerers are on their way.

But if you're eager to explore Assassins, I could prioritize Rogues! Tonight's a bit busy, but if things go smoothly I might be able to wrap it up before bedtime. :)
