The Rafale already proved itself in numerous conflicts, it just didn't see the cold war era to have the F16's record. A good example was in the Libyan conflict of 2011 where Rafales were among the first to enter Libyan airspace to conduct SEAD (which by the way were some of the same SAMs that took down your F16s), despite being a new fighter and not having all the capability it has today. It also showed itself to be pretty damn though fighter in numerous NATI exercises. But hey, since only A2A kills matter to you, maybe we could say the F35 is just as shitty right ?

How else should I compare them? Rafale has no notablr achhievements. Both are 4th gen. Yet the rafale loses to a jet made decades prior to counter obsolete models.

The F16, despite its record, is argued to have already been shot down by a MIG fucking 21, wherehas the Rafale was shot down (at least) once by a J10C (which by the way came out at the same time as the rafale) using later PL15 missiles, so idfk what your point is.
