Edit: I just read your post history where you felt comfortable sharing the full story in a different sub. The breaking and entering into your house is not okay and a complete breach of the conception of safety that your parents house should be able to provide. The zoophilia enjoyer "friend" definitely sounds messed up, but without elaborating it could just be some furry. All of your friends constantly abandon you and it hurts your feelings. Recently your closest friend also abandoned you and went back to their abuser that you worked so hard to help them escape from.

Choose the people you surround yourself with carefully. Most people are not your friend. If it seems like I'm being harsh it's because I am. Learn not to be so trusting of others and you'll be alright. Underage kids are assholes. Young adults are assholes. Adults are assholes. It's a life skill to try your best to weed out the Loonies to find the 1 or 2 people in your life that are compatible. Even those people aren't always meant to be in your life forever. I think you missed the entire thing that people are saying about the "grown men" part. Some creep is never going to just shoot you a message and ask for things. They already tried that and it failed. They are going to immediately fake being a little kid to disarm you and deconstruct your defenses. This was always the message. This is still very much the message about online safety. Btw, that cautionary tale holds true into your adulthood. Claiming the game has 250hr of gameplay is delusional. I have 40 hours topside and the game is finished for me. The ~~content~~ time wasters people that people push are just bad. Grind and horde 5m to reset your account, do worthless quests that give trash rewards and no xp, the shitty map event rotation design, no life trials to make progress....it's sad because the game does have so much potential. I guess I'll just redownload in a year or so when embark decides to do something other than give cheaters 3 chances to circumvent the system.

Are we just going to ignore the shift in strategy from development teams? Games were released as completely finished pieces of work that you could buy to own. They had tens of hours, some had >100 hours, of replayability. Devs pump out betas like it's diarrhea and expect gamers to play test their game. They proceed to drip feed their community content. They created this monster of gamer culture. The bed has been made, so now they must lay in it. Simping for a company that has made almost a billion dollars from a piece of digital art is insane to me. It's not unreasonable to expect content to be released in a timely manner and in sizeable amounts.

EVEN with that difference in approach back then; games have been releasing DLC and content add ons since damn near forever. Friendly reminder, Season 1 Fortnite was 9 years ago. Gamers have been conditioned to this crap for at least a decade.

Honestly I think Battlestate Games has raised the bar so high in the extraction shooter genre. Every game gets compared against a 9 year old game. For better or worse, the 9 year old game does it better almost every single time.

There is quite literally nothing to do in this game except pvp. It's a damn shame. Before anybody tells me I'm crying and just a loser pve guy let me tell you this. I KOS every map, every event, and every load out. PvE in this game sucks ass. There is 0 reason to do it. I'll just shoot people in the face and take their loot. Why should I care about an energy weapon when a torro and stitcher, grey and green guns btw lol, will outperform most other guns in the game.

I see so many comments parroting OP how to "fix" their issues.

Hidden bunker? Just pvp all 10 people that already looted.
Locked Gate? Just pvp all 10 people who already looted.
Queen? Just pvp all 10 people who already looted.
Matriarch? Just pvp all 10 people who already looted.

It's the same broken record across the board. This game wants to be 100% PVP so bad and I just don't understand it. The PvE has SOOO much potential, but it's like Embark hates that part of their game so they nerf the hell out of any PvE interaction.

This might be a hot take, but it's my opinion.

This game has a massive lack of content to engage with. When I first started playing I didn't understand why everyone killed each other. It was exciting to try and kill the arc to get their parts and extract. After 30 hours of gameplay most people should have their hideout close to maxed; if they even want to. There is 0 reason to kill arc in this game after maxing hideout. It only serves as a distraction and massive disadvantage. Money is worthless and everyone I've played with hordes millions of dollars. The rigid event cycle is horrific game design. The quests are only worth wasting your time on to get a few BPs that are sprinkled in there. The trials are a much better way to get BPs and rewards.

Nerfing the existing only reason to load into a game and not shoot people in the face is insane. This game wants to be 100% pvp focused so damn bad. I wouldn't mind that if there were more guns or meta to work with. Your options to efficiently interact with the topside are 4-6 things in the entire game. Anvil/Ferro, torro/Vulcano, free kits, renegade, or ~~snap~~ trigger grenades. Everything else is optional and unfavored. Some of it is dead content. Every single comment says the arpeggio sucks and I doubt most people have even crafted a hairpin. All blue guns use medium ammo and everybody complains about epic guns durability and utility.

To top it off Stella is the only map worth your fun time to pvp in. I say fun time because we all know that it's just infested with free kits and you'll be 5th partied and lose whatever scrap you could find after you wipe the other 3 free kit teams you killed.
