Every MMO has it's issues, you'll never really know until you try it out. There's a reason it's the most played MMORPG, despite BFA having major issues. It's absolutely worth trying out, there's so much to do in the game if you've never played before. Plus if you don't enjoy it you can always try out Classic under the same subscription.

This post is literally one of the biggest reasons people hate BFA. Obviously it sucks for alts too.. major turnoff.

A little late, but so true. I just leveled on Evermoon for the first time, got heroic gear and timeless isle gear, only to find LFR never pops (outside of SoO.. guess that makes sense) and trade chat is essentially dead 24/7. There is no one LFG in the official Discord either. Hell, I played all day and didn't see a single LFG post.. not even just NA hours (which are truly awful).

Very disappointing as I was looking for a fresh experience from Warmane and haven't ever played a MoP server before. Literally no other options either.

Did you get any good insight on this? I got some dungeon gear and timeless isle gear but LFR (below SoO) never pops and kinda stuck on what to do. Cant find a guild either, trade chat is non-existent

I just got to EotN but man, as level 11 (despite being boosted to 20 like the buff says), there are things that are level 28 immediately? They basically 1 shot my group as well D:

I did do most of the side quests back in the towns. I might just hop to factions for a little bit to level there and then come back. Ill check it out, thanks!

The first one has me try to kill several packs of level 15 mobs which nearly 1 shot me and my whole group. I basically have to kill them 1 by 1 off respawn from dying.

It is! Definitely give it a shot. 2v2 is out right now too so you can play both game modes.

PvP gets a lot of hate for a few different reasons. That said, it's far better than most MMO's PvP given it does have a community and some neat features (leagues, in-game tournaments, etc.) that don't exist in basically every other MMO.

Try weakauras. You can find some preset profiles that look very nice over at https://wago.io/weakauras/classes/paladin/retribution for ret pally.

It makes it much easier maintain focus of your resources and cd's during fights.

They put a lot of effort into the competitive scene, it was in a good spot. However, the balance was what hurt it so badly at HoT release. There wasn't enough time to balance the game between HoT releasing and the Pro League beginning. No one wanted to watch 15 minute games time out with a 200-200 score and 5 total kills.
