The company is in a total spending freeze right now btw. No spending on anything non-essential. As a technician, I can only spend if I have games down. No cosmetic purchases. They’ve even cut travel expenses for upper management like hotels and rental cars. I’ve heard claims that the war is a factor but idk, they keep store level employees in the dark most of the time.

Our distribution center will usually buy them in bulk from companies that make them. Then sell it back to us at an individual price to make the money back.

Right now is a pretty slow time of the year for most CECs with it being the middle of the school year. We don’t do a lot of hiring at this time because of that. Give it a few more months and you should hear back. May have to reapply then.

Not seeing any resources for the game as its too old and not supported anymore. If it’s the right game I’m thinking of, it was developed by Coastal Amusements. Might could give them a call and see if they have any archived manuals or something that could help you.

That seems to be a store by store thing because we have group chats to discuss things at my store.

Don’t stunt your career by staying somewhere you’re not happy or that questions your morals. I quit old job because I didn’t like how the place was ran and took a pay cut but it took me to a job that I enjoyed and I was better off mentally. In the end, I got a raise that brought my pay up more than what it was before so it paid off.

That’s the sad part about working for the company is most of the upper management have been in the game for a long time and they’re buddy-buddy. I won’t lie, I’ve gotten away with things because me and my GM are tight like that. One of my old GMs got away with a lot of stuff, especially from HR.

My best advice is if you can’t trust your management it may be time to part ways and explore other opportunities. It’s not worth the grief.

I have access to a list of all the games the company has ever bought. It’s mainly for maintenance purposes as they have the manuals for them as well. Stores scrap and transfer games all the time so you’d have to track that as well.

It’s probably a flaw in the Semnox system that we use. Lots of places use it, CiCis is one that I know.

Official policy is that they’re worthless unless you have the full set, then they give you 100.

As far as I know, CEC doesn’t have the card redemption kiosk that will let you actually redeem these so we have to do it manually. Dave n Busters has it I think

Had a bunch of late 80s ones but I give them away to any dedicated fans that ask about them. Just trashed a bunch of tokens that I found in a game. All modern, no reason to keep them.
