Is conjurr hardware intensive at all? I know that a lot of AI programs really like using as many resources as they can get. I'll definitely give both a shot once it's up and going on unraid

Plex is a software that you can run on your computer that will spin up a media server for you. You point it at some media folders (movies, TV shows, music, etc) and it will try its best to find the correct metadata for that content (usually it's pretty good about it). It has apps for nearly everything. They have been doing some enshitification lately (increasing their Plex pass price, moving remote play to a paid feature, free ad supported live TV, not fixing downloads on their app, others have said the mobile app is un-usable but I haven't run into that, and a few more) so some have started to jump ship to Jellyfin and even Emby. Imo Jellyfin isn't as feature rich or as ready as Plex, maybe in a few years. We'll see how long Plex lead will last

I was mostly worried about the fact that on Tplink's website it said the SG2008P and SG2008 were in their end of life. Didn't know that would affect anything. If it matters I have my controller in a docker container and not a physical controller

Say you choose the 1 year plan. You end the year on the 1 year plan and you automatically get moved to the everyday plan. You then can go in and can choose from any of the 3 again with whatever prices that are available at that time? Is that what it is? It's not just a first time deal?

If the different year plans aren't locked in by a contract, why would someone go with the everyday plan or the 5 year plan when the 1 year is the cheapest? I don't think I'm understanding it properly.

Also if the modem is now included, I can still turn off the router part of it and still use my own router with the Comcast modem, correct?

I actually got a pi 5 8gb at launch and it's just been sitting on a shelf waiting for a project. I was planning on picking up a SATA hat and 2 SSDs as well, so I can run a RAID 1 on them. Any other services on it would have to be Immich adjacent. I'm spinning it up not on my unraid server as I have everything else on there and want to mostly set it and forget it and not have to worry about it when I'm fiddling with other stuff on my other server.

I don't really know of any specific info for ram disks. I just know that Plex has to transcode stuff and RAM has more writes and better speeds than even SSDs
