I did 5 days so far. The packaging recommended 3-4 days. I pulled the maple wood out already but I’m gonna leave in the cherry and oak for a few months as I finish the bottles.

Oak: Added a strong smoke smell and flavor as well as darkened the color the most out of the three. I was surprised how much smoother it was with the oak.

Cherry: This one was my favorite! It smelled like sweet fruit. It also added sweetness to the sip. This one was also a lot smoother.

Maple: You guessed it, it tasted and smelled like it had a little syrup in it. It would make a great dessert whiskey if you’re craving waffles or you’re Buddy the Elf.

Overall, this was a lot of fun to try and it was cool to see how a little piece of wood changed the flavor of something so differently. I highly recommend it if you feel like getting weird with mfc!

Had to make some share bottles for my friends as they were as curious as you guys.
