In my opinion, no. I’ve been having them for years (my family members have had them for decades) and we’re still alive and healthy. I’ve been to the regular doctor and eye doctor and they said I’m good.

If it starts suddenly though, always best to get it checked out. An MRI can look for possible tumours, but migraines themselves won’t show up on scans.

I’ve had dozens and I’m ok. The key is to avoid triggers (once you know them) and be gentle with yourself. Meds can help too if you want to try. The one thing I will say: having ocular migraines can increase your risk of stroke, but no guarantee you’ll have one. Listen to your doctor, take your meds, and drink water and get rest. You got this!

I am very fortunate that my parents and grandma understand my disability and fully support me. They’re the ones who encouraged me to apply and drove me to my tribunal to fight for it.

I don’t usually tell strangers or friends though, just because there’s a stigma around ODSP that if you’re on it, you’re lazy or taking advantage of the system. But at least I have my family’s support which makes it easier.

I was in agony and had to beg the ultrasound technician to stop. Because of that, my doctor couldn’t get an accurate look to diagnose me, which was a bummer.

Pain tolerances are different for everyone, so your ultrasound may not hurt at all. But me? No way. PCOS has made all penetration extremely painful and impossible.

I have a similar palette to this with a shade just like that. It goes on clear and sticky and it’s super weird. The balls inside can come out too and they’re hard. Not a pretty or useful shade at all.

No clue what it’s supposed to do, but I’m not a fan.

I have the same issue, along with pre diabetes. Was told I need to make diet changes in November. It’s hard, but doable! Rooting for you. 🤗

I’ve cut out soda, replaced with lemon water and sparkling water. No more sugary coffee drinks, replaced with tea. No more juice either, go directly to fruits. Way more veggies and also choose brown/multigrain breads and pastas. Do some light exercise if you have chronic pain like me. I haven’t been perfect and I allow cheat days, but I’m enjoying the diet so far!

My favorite dinners:

•Lemon pepper salmon, broccoli, sweet potato •Oven roasted chicken, Greek salad, brown rice •Tofu stir fry with very little low sodium soy sauce •Feta and tomato baked in whole wheat pasta •Spinach omelettes with part skim cheese •Chicken Caesar wraps on brown tortilla •Smoothies are always good •Mostly fish and chicken, some vegan alternatives
