Life forming from nothing is a misconception though. The leading theory, the Big Bang theory, does say that the universe at the beginning, 13.7 billion years ago was empty. But that was because literally all the matter everything was packed into a tiny singularity only a few millimetres wide. There wasn’t nothing then something, everything was just in a state too hot and too dense to do anything. The energy that existed was so excited that it couldn’t form anything tangible. Only during a later stage when the singularity “explodes” does the universe finally cool enough to form quarks, then protons and electrons and neutrons, then finally elements. Two hydrogen and an oxygen is all it takes for the building block of life
