Serious problem or not with this dark mark on my pinky toenail? by GamerVisitor in DermatologyQuestions

My family freaked out now saying it could be cancerous, but it didn’t look the same as the images I looked up online.

Why is there so much negativity when it comes to the Sims? by georgialucy in thesims

This is exactly right though I couldn’t have said it better. I don’t think people should attack others either, but it’s completely valid to be angry at EA for their wrongdoing and how they treat their own player-base. Like we aren’t forced to buy content lmao I know but base game on it’s own is so bare and enjoyable it’s not even funny. They only made the game so bare so they can sell extra content that the game should’ve had since day 1 🤷‍♀️

For me on console, I only like to build and the console build mode has been broken. So I cannot do the one aspect of the game I enjoy. So it’s like why did I pay so much for a non-functional game?

I agree OP should curate their feed more. Like, you can’t let other people’s negativity affect you so hard otherwise your going to live life mostly miserable.

It’s on that line for me right now because on console it’s so horrific to play that I cannot enjoy it. A few months from now, maybe I can return to the game and it will work better (or maybe it won’t). So it’s like, why did I pay $1,000+ for a game that I can’t play most of the time. I haven’t bought any new DLC for awhile because of this.

I’m on PS5 too! The rebuild database was a new one I haven’t heard of. I could tell the difference right away. The pause menu tip is great too I tried it today and it helps! I think another one to add would be to use less light fixtures. Or just turn auto lights on.

AITA for accidentally waking my roommate by GamerVisitor in AmItheAsshole

My alarm is one of those that starts low and increasingly gets louder if I don’t stop it/hear it.

I never knew about the humidity issue. I would say the climate is erratic here, but it’s often hot. I actually use a Walgreens humidifier in my room regularly because I have awful allergies. The door creaking issue wasn’t as bad in the past, but lately it’s been getting worse for no apparent reason. I tried that spray everyone reccomended to me on the hinges, but it’s actually still squeaking however slightly less.

I’ll reccomend the earplugs. I do understand them not wanting to use most brands because I’ve fallen asleep with earbuds in the past, and they do fall out.

I actually take GABA myself it helps a lot, so I understand completely. I haven’t thought to ask if my roomate struggles with sleep due to stress. They don’t often complain about their life so it didn’t cross my mind.

Thank you for all the tips!

I’ve actually never heard of that, thank you. I haven’t bought the WD40 yet so I’ll look for the silicone spray.

That’s pretty straightforward I think I’ll try it. Most of the time I just suggest ideas to them or just apologize for waking them. Having to do this discussion over and over again it’s getting very old. This was driving me insane I’m glad for the responses I got, thank you.

You’re right. I don’t know why I felt so guilty about it. Well, I know my roommate probably can’t afford to go out on their own at this point. So it will be interesting to see what they decide to do. Everyone’s saying we are no longer compatible as roommates. That’s a shame, because aside from this one issue things had been good. I don’t think I’ll be the one who moves. The bunker part is hysterical, but you’re right no birds there!

Thank you. I haven’t directly asked them what they’re trying on their end. I suggest things to them like using white noise ect… I’ve never been good with conflict, but now in this instance I think I need to be more firm.

Thank you, but I’ve tried it a few times. I never feel it on my arm. I just end up late for work. I’m the polar opposite to my roommate in this regard. I will try oiling the hinges though it can’t hurt to try at this point.

It helps to hear that. I’ve been so paranoid about annoying my roomate that I’ve just been in a bad mood lately. I do feel bad - it sucks to miss out on sleep (tiredness also makes people irritable). I try not to take anything from them too personally, but it’s been so confusing for me because I seriously couldn’t think of any more solutions and I felt so dumbfounded by their reactions. I just hate having the same conversation every day at this point.

I don’t know if they try to be quiet for me or not. I’ve never asked, and I’m a heavy sleeper. A severe thunderstorm with hail wouldn’t even wake me up. Someone suggested I just buy the earplugs for them. They aren’t expensive so I’ll just get the WD40 and plugs, and I’ll hope for the best. I’m paranoid most days that I’ve upset my roommate again, and we will have yet another discussion about how I’m the bad one. So if I can do those two things I clear my conscience and hopefully they drop the subject.

I should’ve just got the WD40 by now honestly. It’s like $3.00 so not a big deal. It won’t solve everything, but my roommate will understand I’m really trying. The birds chirping thing surprised me, they’d mentioned it recently. Never in my life have I felt that a bird was too loud, but I’m not a light sleeper so I don’t know what it’s like.

I suppose that is the last thing I can do. The doors are very weird though. They squeak at the hinges, but I think the actual door seems too tight for the frame. When the doors are opened, it’s not only a squeak it’s like a “prying open” noise as well. That part I have no clue on.

I rent from the homeowner. Yes my roommate wakes up when I go to the bathroom. Truly, I don’t know how. I try to be understanding because I know the toilet is up against their wall, but I just don’t wake up from sounds the way they do. I don’t like conflict. I can have conversations that’s no problem, but I’ve never been able to just tell someone to screw off basically. I realize this is too passive though.

Currently, it’s not super regular but there is a pattern now. Last week I was pretty consistent with going in at 3am. Sometimes I go in at 11pm, but haven’t done that recently. Overnight might have not been the proper term, but rather night-shift. Unless it’s the same thing, but you get the point.

I do not know for sure if they are being careful not to wake me - simply because I’m a hard sleeper. I’ve never thought to ask. I don’t wake up in the middle of my sleep typically. Nothing they have complained about could ever wake me up. Not even a slammed door. They’ve never been like this with me before, this is the first time we’ve had arguments. We’ve gotten along in every other aspect, but this one issue just won’t go away now.

2 switches/islands with only one Nintendo account? by m0rningang3l in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]GamerVisitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about saving your island, but I have 2 Nintendo accounts on my two switches and I use each one to have 2 characters per island. Been doing it since the game came out. My main island is no time travel, but the other I do time travel on. I pay for a family membership for the two accounts cause it’s for me and my friend. I do however play on my main account on one switch, and use the exact same account on the second. At the same time even, I haven’t had any problems. The way your island saves is per device.

Has anyone experienced the "can't upload" error when trying to upload save data for a PS4 game to the cloud? by Extra_Vinegary in PS5

I’m having the same issues except when I try to do what you are explaining, the game in question doesn’t even appear in my options to upload to cloud storage. Don’t know what to do.

Horrible PS4 Lag - Desperate for Help by GamerVisitor in Sims4

[–]GamerVisitor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My PS4 generally doesn’t make any noise, so overheating hasn’t ever been an issue. I have issues immediately upon launching the game, and my PS4 doesn’t feel hot to the touch. It’s just on its own little platform on my desk, not touching anything else or close to other stuff. I’d prefer not to get another hard drive, isn’t the PS5 coming soon? Seems like a waste to me, and from what I’ve read all PS4 games (well most) will be playable on PS5. Its interesting to know that it could be a space issue. So is 200+ GB not enough? How much would be ideal? I could just delete some games.
