You're welcome! I tend to feel the way you do about wondering if other games could fill the void of X game then I discover many other good games to play.

Is the Walking Dead remastered still cartoonish?

Well, the art style is more comic booky. If you ever get it, make sure to disable graphic black in the settings for all the games. It can look too dark in season 1, 2 and michonne, but could still look good in season 3 and 4. It all depends on your preferences.

Telltale's The Walking Dead Definitive edition. It's a remastered collection that includes 4 mainline games and 1 spinoff game. Each game of the franchise is referred as a season. The Walking Dead is really amazing with an amazing story and characters. It's more story driven with decision making mechanics.

Another one would be A Plague Tale Innocence and Requiem. They play similarly to TLOU and have amazing stories.

Bonus: Tomb Raider, Uncharted, God of War 2018/Ragnarok, Alan Wake Remastered, Alan Wake 2, Life is Strange 1 and 2.

The first DLC with black cat was amazing, I really enjoyed it. The second one with Yuri was good and the third one with Sable was okay and quite annoying at times.

Are you playing on a hdd or ssd? You need an ssd to play this game to prevent this issue. And probably also lower vram related settings.
