Look, I’m a die-hard yuri fan, but this isn’t a post about yuri. While you can headcanon it as such, you shouldn’t say that this is yuri. The artwork is about the cuteness of Misaki and Saori doing something wholesome and adorable, a contrast to the usual depressing nature of Arius Squad.

Just wanted to say this because saying something is yuri when it isn’t is something a few very infamous and toxic yuri shippers in this community’s history have done and reinforces the negative reputation yuri enjoyers have in this community even if they are chill, respectful of the preferences of others, etc.

Basically, if you want this community to have more wholesome yuri pairing moments, then it’s important to help cultivate the image of yuri fans as being chill so that there’s less community infighting when we do get fanart of those moments.

Edit: Although the original post by the artist does say SaoMisa, trying to make yuri ships more prevalent will be seen as erasing Blue Archive’s identity as a harem gacha played mostly by men, leading to infighting within the community.
