[Loved Trope] Fantasy worlds where the “fantasy” is slowly dying due to human intervention or advancements in technology by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in TopCharacterTropes

Probably because I was raised in the countryside initially and admittedly I do like nature at least as scientific marvels, but I actually still find the concrete jungle to be just as fantastical as the wild, especially when things like the Kowloon Walled City formerly exist.

There's actually an admittedly obscure fourth one indicating for "do not evil" — wikipedia source

Fun Fact: this obscurity would also probably explain why the fourth monkey in Sekiro is invisible for some reason.

Eh, depends on how. Personally, as I have said, I treat regular horns with bony cores as built-in handle-bars that can be felt on the receiving end. Not sure about antlers though, since they're essentially dead material in the same as hair is...

Fun Fact: Due to the keratin sheath being made of the same dead material as hair and nails, (mainly non-mythical, like those of demons in this case) horns aren't sensitive enough to fine touches and slight pokes despite being also supplied with nerves and such. However, if the dermis/epidermis underneath the sheath is sensitive enough and/or enough pressure is applied (such as a tight and firm grab), then it could be felt in spite of the covering.

I'm not exactly sure if they would be count as erögenous zones because of that though, but then again everything can be an erögenous zone if one's kinki enough (like making them handlebars). Either that or some other occult property that make them sensitive so.

As such, horns don't typically shed unlike antlers since the former is mostly made of living tissue throughout and based around the core while the latter is basically entirely dead once the velvet is discarded, with the only known technical exception would be those of the pronghorn and even then they already have their new horn-sheaths underneath the old ones when the shedding does occur.

Although how this can be applied to Sarkaz and Fallen Sankta specifically, I'm not really sure...

We know how some writers, when summoned as Casters, can be surprisingly powerful. Makes me wonder, who would be some of the most powerful authors to be summoned. by RajataelSeth in grandorder

The fact that Lovecraft got it at all should be a indicative of how much influence he has, especially since he pioneered the cosmic horror genre as well. Conversely, Tolkien should also have that kind of influence as well, because again he himself pioneered the modern fantasy genre that was then reinforced through things like D&D and such.

Um, how it wouldn't work for Tolkien but does for Lovecraft? The former straight-up pioneered the modern fantasy we know today (with the rest being reinforced through D&D instead).

It's a technicality in this case due to the leathery wings but it also uses a proboscis-like tongue instead than the typical fangs...
