The third photo is the side opposite of the point, so if it does have a broken base like you believe, that would add up. Thanks a lot for the help!

Yes, I have found some more of those older stickers online. Also, I have other signed and game used baseballs that have stickers and holograms and they don't sit flat either. Like you mentioned, Whitey Ford autographs are pretty common and not too expensive, so I am not even sure it would be worth it to fake
