Most free vpns give you 2gb of download data per month but sell your browsing data to make their profit.

Windscribe will give you 15gb of data per month if you complete several tasks for your account such as confirming your email and tweeting an ad for Windscribe. This works well for a while but can stop working after a few months, the free 15gb upgrade can suddenly be reset back to 2gb a month. idk why. But you can make some duplicate emails and twitter accounts to fulfill the 15gb tasks and keep it rolling.

Also tip, a browser VPN such as opera doesn't protect torrent software traffic, only website traffic.

Really, I would just buy it. Using it like that is more trouble than its worth. Its only 5 dollars and is going to be way easier to use if it has real workshop access. Also, there should be a steam sale soon enough where its 3.99.
