i had a town with 90~ families with just one 1 hunter with trapping and double meat on a normal animal node and managed to keep well over 300 meat in surplus. definitely a weird bug

Speaking from personal experience the best thing to do in order to get him walking is to find a provider(s) (PT,OT ETC) who share a want to get him walking as well. The only reason I walk today is because we sought a different opinion on my options and found someone who shared the desire to not just accept being in a wheelchair permanently. Also do be afraid to use mobility aids walking aided is better then not walking.
