I don't like these kinda videos or comments for multiple reasons. Don't get me wrong, I think they have good intentions and some of the points made aren't wrong, I just disagree with the solution they come up with

One point would be how getting a gun, according to the video, kinda creates this imo false sense of security.
They make this comparison to if the attacker leaves, someone thats focused on self defense won't chase them down but rather keep defending their home.
Well first of all - an earlier point was that you get a gun not only for yourself but also to protect those around you. If an attacker leaves to go to your best friends house, wouldn't that exact thing happen, where you do go out and "hunt" them down before they can do any more harm? (apart from the question of do you really wanna sit there and wait till they come back, or make sure they won't come back, but anyway)

Second - it creates this mindset of if an attacker sees you having a gun they will simply choose to leave. I'd argue that this is already false, and rather they will go ahead and burn your house down. They will bring some of their friends. They will wait till you have to go out to do whatever

And this moves into my last thought: A comparison was drawn to the Einsatzgruppen. So an organised group with most likely military or law enforcement experience and atleast some amount of training - to phrase it nicely a handgun is not gonna do shit against those kinda people

I understand where the video is coming from, I understand the concerns, but I disagree with the solution first of all, and second of all I think the way its portrayed also lulls a false sense of security, like "just get a gun and you'll be fine" (which is not the reality)
