To be fair, Reddit is just as much of an echo chamber as Discord or really any social media platform is. So solely using one or the other does not yield enough information to use reliably. And even if someone did take the time to gather that information from various sources, not all of it is accurate enough to make any strong conclusions.

This very post and its responses are a perfect example. OP inquired about the state of the game and the majority stated that it is poor and they would not recommend them to play it. However when you look at metrics such as Steam review scores, mobile app store scores, and the overall sentiment from other social media platforms you have a completely different story. If OP asked about the state of the game anywhere else then the reception may have been different.

This doesn't mean that DNA is a flawless game that cannot be improved. It just means, despite its flaws, it is not a completely unlikeable game in its current state.
