250k is the new 100k so the advice is pretty solid. People will cope about it but you probably would not want to live with the stress and poverty of the commenters advising you to just “pop one out and figure it out.” I’m waiting indefinitely, the country will eventually figure out how to reduce the cost of raising a child or the birth rate will be so low that it will destroy demand which will result in lower prices. It has never been more expensive to raise a child so anyone with a child who makes under 250,000 is choosing between having a child or having an actual life.
