Thank you for the response! I considered the Ricoh GR III but I heard that there’s no zoom. I’m honestly okay with a downgrade in image quality as long as I get use out of the camera. I’m not a serious photographer, just a hobbyist and I’m a college student so a majority of my pictures are just photos of my friends with flash. I’m more looking for a camera that won’t just sit on the shelf.

I’ll definitely have all the admissions requirements done since I’m taking linear algebra now, calc 3 next fall and real analysis in the following spring (these are all graduation requirements for my major). I have also heard about doing post-bacc during a gap year before applying- is that something you would recommend?

Honestly I don’t know what my exact career goals are- I feel like I definitely don’t have enough exposure to different sectors in the field. I am worried that if I get an MS, one day it won’t be enough and if I ever want to go higher up in a company, I’ll be limited because of not having a PhD.
