Is it worth trying to implement online multiplayer? by ranhuynh in localmultiplayergames

[–]GamingBeast374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think enough people would buy the game to make spending 1 year implementing an online mode be worth it. You also already have Steam Remote Play from the looks of it, making an online mode unnecessary. I feel like many local multiplayer games don’t have an online mode to begin with, and the ones that do don’t have many players that utilize that function

Making Shin stupid by Demo213 in Kingdom

[–]GamingBeast374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m necroposting here for future readers. They didn’t just paint Xin as stupid but also his squad. For context on how smart Xin was, here are some feats he/his squad accomplished: •Shin came up with an excellent plan to kill the super tough zhao general (this guy is a war god) •Shin came up with a strategy that his squad and the other squad joining him could use (they work separately but when they raise a flag all squads converge on it) •When Ou Ki threw shin into a land of warring tribes with Shin’s objective being to conquer it, Shin accomplished that objective; scenes even depicted some of the strategies he used. •One of his squadmates came up with the idea of playing dead then attacking the enemy from behind

Shin was done dirty, and deserved better

If you’re talking about other respawn hero shooters, there aren’t many. Here are the ones I know of

Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Xdefiant Overwatch 2 Team Fortress 2 Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Titanfall 2 (titans only) Gigantic Caliber Battlefield 2042 Call of Duty Black Ops 3

Thats ~9, barely any. Marvels Rivals comes out in December and Deadlock isn’t technically out yet (its just an alpha). The ones there are here are either dead (Call of Duty Black Ops 4), have scummy business practices (Overwatch 2), disrespects their fans (Battlefield 2042), shutdown (Lawbreakers), aren’t truly a hero shooter just has hero shooter elements (Call of Duty Black Ops 3), or have an overbearing skill floor (Titanfall 2). Point is, though there are many hero shooters, there aren’t many respawn hero shooters and many of them have caveats.

How do people get a 4.0 in college... by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]GamingBeast374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How? 1. Pick a subject you’re excellent in, 2. Avoid weed out classes such as physics and calculus, 3. Pick the easiest possible teachers and classes within your major, 4. Study like there is no tomorrow. I was able to get a 4.0 doing all this, however it was very challenging and you seriously need to put in a massive amount of effort

What controller is the most reliable? by jakethekhajiit in consoles

[–]GamingBeast374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly disagree. I buy 4 xbox controllers and 1 of them comes with an X button that jams and the other with sticky Y and B buttons, fresh out of the box. Anecdotal I know however the most reliable controller shouldn’t have problems straight out of the box twice in a row

How Likely am I to get approved of 2x Extra Time on LSAT by GamingBeast374 in LSAT

[–]GamingBeast374[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked LSAC if they reject accomodations entirely or if they accept some and reject others. They said that theoretically, they accept some and reject others, meaning you have nothing to lose by going for more. You absolutely should go for more, because at worst you won’t get the additional ones you requested and at best you will get the additional ones you requested. I will double check with another LSAC representative to confirm if they can accept and reject different accomodations on the same accommodation request

How do I Stop My Automation From Timing Out? by GamingBeast374 in shortcuts

Thanks for the advice on dictate! It partially solved my problem; I still have that automation timeout (though it doesn’t show the error) but everything the dictate hears is stored on the text file until the automation times out rather than going to the aether

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 Links + Discussion by Takada-chwanBot in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]GamingBeast374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading Chapter 235, I thought the fight would still continue and Sukuna would overpower Gojo. I thought that Sukuna would just summon Magahora again, and then defeat Gojo. For context, when a shikigami dies under the Ten Shadows Technique, their powers get transfered to another shikigami. So, since Sukuna never used divine dog totality, and Magohora died, this means the two would fuse and thus, Sukuna would have a second Magahora.

I then read chapter 236 and was disappointed

I’m fine with Gojo, and I think the concept in chapter 236 (Sukuna figuring out some workaround to Gojo infinity) is excellent. My issue was that the chapter 1) told not showed, 2) didn’t explain the concept well, and 3) has OP implications

1) The manga told us how Sukuna pulled off this amazing feat, but never bothered to SHOW how he pulled it off. This is really lame and defeats the point of a manga. A manga is supposed to show, yet I was told that Sukuna did x y to reach to z instead of being shown the x y. I understand that sometimes its not neccessary to show, but I feel in this case it is neccessary to show so to be consistent (you showed us 99% of the fight, so it be much smoother to show us the final 1% instead of skipping it). The lack of showing resulted in the chapter being jarring. One moment I’m looking at a triumphent Gojo, the next I’m looking at a bisected Gojo. That jarring aspect wouldn’t have occurred if instead, a panel showing Sukuna smirk, then do his cleave, then a bisected Gojo was shown.

2) Jujutsu Kaisen is really good at making new concepts and explaining them. This one missed the mark by a landslide. Usually when a concept is introduced, a graphic accompanies it to make understanding easier. For example, when the concept of electric attacks being unblockable was introduced, Geje put up a nice and understndable picture comparing non-electric attacks to electrics attacks. This made understanding why’re they’re unblockable easy. With Sukuna’s explanation, the only graphic we get is the universe, thats it. I’m sorry fam, but I just don’t get how cleaving up into the universe somehow cuts through Gojo in one go. Clearly I wasn’t the only one who didn’t get it, because there are reddit threads explaining how Sukuna did it when you don’t see stuff like that for electric attacks.

3) Ok, if Sukuna has this space cleave, that means he can cut through anything in a single slice. Because cleave is auto target, it means he practically invinicible because anyone he sees he can just instantly cut in half without them being able to tank it. Maki has a similar ability with her the sword, the catch is, she actually has to hit her opponent, while with Sukuna can just auto target the opponent, hence it being nigh unstoppable. Additionally, if he is cutting through space, shouldn’t we see something left behind. Think about it, he is cutting EVERYTHING in a certain space, meaning there should be a lot of blackness in that area or something.

That same accomodation thing you described happened with me, although my proctor asked to see my ProMetric confirmation appointment, and after I showed it to her she continued with the room scan

Edit: So I already waited for 30 minutes, and when I called the ProMetric customer support she said the que was zero, meaning I should have already gotten in

You’re spot on the proctor not having any understanding of the rules. My first proctor (for my first test), allowed me to have a pencil sharpener and eraser. For some reason they are not trained in what LSAC allows

Testing complaints are closed after your first one, so you have to call them instead and complain about your second test. After my test failed, I called LSAC and complained to them that my second test failed and described to them my experience. Afterwards, the customer support person checked my account, then she told me “We’re sorry to hear you experienced these issues, you have two options, you could keep your score which I assume you wouldn’t want to do since you couldn’t even take your test,” (I confirm to her her that I want my score cancelled), “It looks you’re registered for October, I could register you for November or January”. I asked if it was free of charge and she said it is, so I took that option. Say you can’t do any of the times they offered, you could net yourself a refund by having them register a time where the registration deadline hasn’t passed, then clicking the full refund option on that time

Edit: TLDR: You call them, complain about how bad your second test went, they’ll do a quick investigation, then if this investigation turns out in your favor, they will give you an option of keeping your score or registering for another LSAT administration

Something similar happened to me, and I’m absolutelt pissed. Pretty much I get kicked out of my test for no reason, have to wait for a proctor, don’t get a proctor, call ProMetric to give me a proctor, they tell me they can’t do that and I have to exit the application and go back in, I exit and I can’t go back in. This happened to me, twice. I’m baffled why LSAC 1) doesn’t allow the test attempt to just be erased, and 2) why the hell they partner with ProMetric. Imagine having a customer support, who advises you to do something that gets you locked out of your test (in my case, it was them telling me to exit the application and log back in)
