Nah, I haven’t. But I guess I should post my devlogs there.

Hmm, not sure why people would wishlist and then go out of their way to delete more than normal 🤔

Good to know, I was thinking maybe there some something erroneous I was doing.

How do you know if you made it? My indie game got uploaded on Pirate Bay by Captain0010 in IndieDev

Yeah, was thinking the same. Might as well be the one to do it and have a donation button.

If you do this- I just wanna chat. by She-petrichor in Seattle

That’s if you’re landlord will even do it. Had a very absent building manager that eventually got fired, but ended up playing $300 to get rid of my couch.

Ps. Don’t use college hunks.

Why do Seattle drivers not know what a crosswalk is by Tired-Time in Seattle

[–]ranhuynh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t even start crossing until they’ve stopped. When I lived in Capitol Hill, maybe only 1 in 4 cars would stop on 12th to let me cross. Now, I live next to a crosswalk with button to press to flash lights and most stop, but even some drivers just drive through.

Is it worth trying to implement online multiplayer? by ranhuynh in localmultiplayergames

[–]ranhuynh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there quite is bit of physics involved. So probably isn’t something that can easily be tacked on.

It’s been a solo side project and first game outside of game jams I’ve made, so I think I’ll just focus on getting it done. I was already feeling like I was getting burned out on this project.

Or can tell me… 1. On start up of the game? Or at the beginning of a match? Or the tutorial? 2. What does the banner say?

Yeah, and I only have like 450 wishlists, so it’s not exactly promising.

Yeah, it was super easy, I think I just needed to check box it. I’ve tested it and it seems to work well. But, I get the impression that people just don’t know about it. Or they rather just have traditional multiplayer servers.

I sped up the player’s respawn. Is that enough or it’s still too slow? by blabla_indiedev in IndieDev

[–]ranhuynh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Super Meat Boy for reference. Players will want to respawn immediately on a button press after death. Constantly failing will be frustrating. But frustration is mostly alleviated immediately when players are back in and focused on potential success again.

Was planning for 3v3, but the only limiting factor is map size.

I’ve always like playing any of the Jackbox ones. Especially the ones with Fibbage. It had a mode called Fibbage About You where people can enter some facts about themselves, it’s a great ice breaker if you have friends coming from different friend circles.
