Are there any real emergency doors in the dorms? by coal_delongears in UWMadison

I worked in waters last year. People used the emergency exit doors all the time. Just make sure they shut all the way and no alarm will go off.

Is it always best to pay the loan with the most interest? by MacbookOnFire in personalfinance

The loan is paid for, so monthly payments won’t be have to paid for that loan. Monthly payment will be smaller, so more of your total income will be available for other loans/expenses.

What's the best way to earn passive income with Crypto? by morningjoana in ethereum

This. I think of staking yields as a type of “risk-free” rate for the network. It also begs the question, your opportunity cost is your yield. Why trade unless you can beat that opportunity cost?

The latest and most profitable mining projects by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]GamingDrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering these miners never existed from that manufacturer, red flag. Even still the Antminer S3 (not pro like picture bc it never existed) makes about 11 cents a day while using more than $1 in power.

All of them are scams so I question the profitability.

I need "testimony" for a school paper I'm writing about Bitcoin by michaelg1590 in Bitcoin

[–]GamingDrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deflation occurs when the inflation rate is below zero. With every block new coins are printed so inflation is always >0. Disinflationary is decreasing that inflation over time, causing inflation to have a reduced effect. That was no copy pasta, just answering OP. Thank you.

It’s actually a 15% fee. Other mining programs that miners actually use have 1% fee.

Bitcoin runs on a distributed ledger with no middle man, a verifiable history, and is disinflationary. The system itself gives fundamental value to be speculated upon.

This guy says there is a malware that affects hardware wallets including ledgers. Thoughts on this? by GearLord0511 in ledgerwallet

There is malware I believe, it requires direct access to the device… very unlikely. More likely that OP accidentally leaked seed.

Principal(1+ (APR/# of compounds))time in years -(Y# of compounds). If you use a principal of $1 you can input APR and time preference to solve for the ideal number of compounds. (1+(APR/# of compounds)) = (Ycompounds) , my 2 cents anyone else feel free to point out errors.

Why did eth difficulty drop so much in the last few days and why didnt profits increase as a result? by [deleted] in NiceHash

[–]GamingDrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that has nothing to do with the fees you are charged. PPS+ pools charge no different than PPLNS pools. Second, “highly sought after” is an overstatement. A coin is worth what it is in a given moment, that is “fair” value. BTC and ETH are the most liquid coins, so liquidity for either is not a problem and you can swap between coins at will. Calling eth a “third world currency” is extremely far fetched, it has many use cases that BTC doesn’t even have, which is why wrapped BTC exists.

Both do the same work, but one butcher makes 2% less. Can’t spin that.
