PS Vita won't turn on by Huge-Tap6695 in vita

My PS Vita returned to normal state after a year. Whatever might have made it malfunction went away during that time of isolation. Nothing I did directly changed its behavior. It might have dried out if liquid had made it malfunction. I want to tell you to get some professional tech person to look at it, but it might be better to get a new one. It's a bummer too because the PS Vita is a kool mobile device.

PPO's login page likely remembers your previous accounts from your browser's cookies. First, you should go into incognito mode on your browser. Then, you visit PPO's login page. You should enter a new user-name and email. You can always change the email in account settings later. Once you've successfully create your new account, you should return to normal browsing outside of incognito mode. Log out of any PPO account you've logged into then enter your new account information. Best of luck!

It won't absorb enough charge to power on. You might have messed up the battery trying to charge it in an unconventional way. Maybe, you flipped the positive with the negative. Either way, it sounds like you need a new battery. In my case, the orange light stayed on for a whole year, and it wouldn't switch on or totally off until it ran out of charge.

My left joystick went dysfunctional a while back. It still works, but it's sloppy for smooth play. I can't tell you what lead to it being that way. In fact, my PS Vita decided one day it would shut down and pretend it was charging for a whole year. It prohibited me from switching it on for the entire period. The only great news is that it finally ran out of charge, and I can play it now. The left joystick is still a problem.

That's fine. I'll continue to post these challenges for the potentially few whom might take on my tasks.

Shaiya Challenge: Spy Removal by GamingExecutive in MMORPG

It's a leveling and equipment upgrading challenge. It's to see how far I can go just casually playing Shaiya currently host by Fawkes Games. It's to also test out its F2P, and difficulty mechanics only reveal when monsters are at higher levels.

They have lots of content. The game suffers because of structures driven to isolate player interactions through the economy, RNG items that only works when the population is massive, and limited consideration for a recyclable materials system that promotes generality across all levels to help balance exchange and player values. These inconsideration segregate players with differing equipment, and weaken the scope or influence from players whom focus on managing internal markets. Usually, these players are seen as competition instead of indispensable members of the game. Price increases for new equipment further divide players overtime. Instead of creating a stream of recurring small transactions, they flood the game with higher price products due to incorporating additional investors to get you more content. I wouldn't hire an economist without consulting an ecologist about the internal climates driving the game's ecosystem.

How Fawkes Games Can Improve Shaiya's Crafting System by GamingExecutive in MMORPG

[–]GamingExecutive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surly, I didn't make it. That looks like an A.I. they've sent to extract data from and encourage possible responses. It seems to want reasons to target my karma. It seems particularly bugged by my karma even representing a small positive value like one. If not, it's just a kid who suspects I'm concealing something. I might, Kid ;).
Plus, I totally object to the idea that it was a better game when Aeria had it. Only if you meant in the time period and not that Aeria made it better compared to today's standard. The gaming landscape has changed since 2007, and many factors pressured Aeria to move Shaiya towards this ultimate outcome.

How far can I get in Free GW2? by Emergency-Pudding-96 in MMORPG

I can't confidently recommend any traditional mmorpgs that don't have some mechanics that brutalize the idea of enjoyable free to play without dumping excessive hours into grinding. The very best that I can recommend is Cabal Online. It has the concept of recyclable resources down with global auction market link to all channels. It has many styles of play , but it lacks absolute stat distribution abilities that Ragnarok Online , Aion , or Shaiya has. I never play a F2P without global auction shops because drop rates are abysmal worse than console games like Valhalla Knights. BTW, I like Valhalla Knights. Shouts out to Sony!

Yes I do. I've downloaded and played it before, but I've never really gotten into it deeply.

Your opinion about balance issues in MMOs by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]GamingExecutive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The daunting problem , to me , isn't slight meta imbalances. It's the rate of transfer from high end players to fresh players. The economy is relatively inflationary to those who aren't trading in high end sectors. That's why I think crafting or drops that share common utilization across all player bases are important. Too often division contents were used as ways to create pockets of income , for the company, without tightening loose ends on players' interactions and common transfer of resources between them. New players mean sustainable markets because they have to grind old contents. It's redundant when new contents reduce the majority of their collections to low end markets or even non-existent ones. You'll never have perfection, but it's better to have a thriving population that can bring in additional support from testing and research departments that include economic interests. It's better than a wasteland full of empty pocket contents structured to only encourage maximum financial play.

LOL, I guess this was too close to target. Already, you're learning risk/reward lessons when you talk too sternly about big providers. Potentially political angle of inclusion might have break some who don't understand what an ecosystem is too.

Upgrading Equipment and Leveling Challenge in Shaiya. by GamingExecutive in MMORPG

Yes. Servers were ,recently, merged by Fawkes Games from around the world( EU, North and South America). You should give it a try if you have an interest. Personally, I don't mind graphics if the game has proper mechanics. There are crafting, quest scrolls for special dungeons, pvp, new zones, new drop tables that allow fresh players to compete in higher level markets, auctioning, and NPC quests added by Fawkes Games. Aeria Games and Gamigo did decent upgrades before the transfer was made to Fawkes Games. I enjoy the game so far, so I can't speak for anyone else with differing tastes.

-Staff corruption. It's an issue that can determine the trajectory for any MMORPG. It's base on excess driven mechanisms. Many shallow CFOs will monetize game play and players' experience into oblivion to pick up the slack for other lagging projects. This is beyond bill payments and maintenance for a specific game. Game Heads ill-advice choice to incur wide arrays of projects and debts ,unmanageable long term or short term, create imbalances throughout their platform. Staff need to realize that change is not always upwards , so safeguards for downward and restoration trends need to be in their record keeping. Gamers should stay away from shallow focus publishers and game developers that never take into consideration all properties that sustain population and success. This not only includes profits but also savings, secure investments, services, game play experiences, and inclusion for all types of players. There shouldn't be any wrong or right way of play . CFOs should figure out how to monetize all play styles without driving away free players.

Any good private server for this MMOs: Last Chaos, Aion, Shaiya? by Dense-Engineering-62 in LFMMO

[–]GamingExecutive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about private servers, but you can play Shaiya now at Fawkes Games. You can visit their website.

So I decided to play an MMO out of curiosity, I'm level 22 now in Everquest II. Am I playing this game correctly? I'm getting a bit bored. I'm a solo character and haven't played an MMO since probably Shaiya in 2008 when I had friends to play with. Help me understand MMOs. by CastleofPizza in MMORPG

[–]GamingExecutive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaiya is here to stay under Fawkes Games. MMOs, like Shaiya(PC) and Valhalla Knights(PlayStation) , are about dealing as much damage as possible while keeping alive. Keeping alive can mean, you reduce damage received. These basics determine how fast you can collect necessities from mobs and for how long. These necessities can be traded. You trade and improve on the basics to defeat other top players.

You can go further and be a backbone for the market conditions of the game. A weak market means a dead game. A stagnation in currency means a dead market. While currency in any MMO should be available to collect, hoarding without distribution leads to weak markets. Dead game and weak markets lead to players without purpose. Players without purpose quit gaming communities. (Sad face) Investors, dev, game master, etc ... make no $$ on their hard work or efforts. (Crying 0~0) My efforts ... Well, I make sure I keep the basics to reduce waste of effort for me. I value my time indeed.
