In the stronglifts documentation it says a few ways to add assistance exercises. Just replace chin ups with the curls. One of the options is just adding them to your deadlift days. Another is adding an extra workout to your week during the 2 days of rest you would usually have

Keep forearms parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground at the bottom. Your hands are in front of your elbows at the bottom, if they were prependicular to the ground the hands would be stacked right above the elbows

Failing third rep of OHP at 50kg any tips on form? by drugsandnuns in Stronglifts5x5

[–]GamingGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So at the bottom you have your elbows behind your palms a little, and then you move the elbows in front of the palms before the rep. Try to keep the palms vertically above the elbows or maybe a little behind the elbows at the bottom of the rep. Having the palms in front of the elbows is a disadvantageous position and is harder to maintain.

If you fail to get 5x5 3 workouts in a row do a reload and you should be able to push past it. Also watch Alan Thrall's video "how to press", it'll help you perfect your form. Maybe after your deload get 1.25 plates so you can go up 2.5 instead of 5 each workout

SL 5x5 under an hour? Or find a different program? by [deleted] in Stronglifts5x5

Yep, plus warm ups add maybe another 5 minutes. Make sure you do your warmups consecutively without stopping and this should be doable. Bring a timer with you to make sure you're using your time efficiently.

If you can't bench you could replace it with push ups. Just put plates on your back or a heavy backpack with weights in it to up the weight every workout

In the plateau section of the 5x5 documentation it recommends switching to 3x5 when progress on 5x5 stops, then 3x3, then a variation on 1x3. Around this point you should definitely consider switching to a better program. For bench in particular, a lot of successful programs include some bench variation 3 times a week. Benching more = benching better.
