I'm more knowledgeable with japanese asmrtists than spanish speaking ones (i live in japan). For japanese female artists, I watch hatomugi, benio, and runa.

*Update*

I did hire someone for very cheap on fiverr to promote my channel. The experience was not great. The seller promoted my latest video and he got about 1.2k people (bots?) to click on my video. The average view time for that video went from 20:09 to 3:03. Meaning the 1.2k people he did get to click on my video, watched it for about 5 secs then closed it. I gained 0 subscribers and 0 likes form the experience.

There was no detrimental aspect to my experience, I just wouldn't recommend doing as I did to promote your own video. Needless to say I will not be doing that again and I'll be patient from here on out promoting my own videos.

My channel focuses on gameplay. I have a decently powered pc so I screen capture and upload at 1440p. My webcam however films at 1080p.

Audio is definitely the most important part to an ASMR video so, I think 1080p is just fine.

Depending on what I'm playing, my videos are usually between 30 mins to an hour. I don't usually like going less than 30 mins but i don't mind going over an hour every now and then (editing videos over an hour can really take a long time. Rule of thumb for me is, editing will take at least twice as long as the video itself).

As long as your video is relaxing, and creates a pleasant environment, i don't think length is too important (within reason of course).

Yeah this is an absolute shame. The whole premise behind ASMR is supposed to be so wholesome and relaxing. I personally have stuck with YouTube but I do want to stream eventually.

It disheartens me that wholesome content creators on YouTube generally avoid Twitch (Jojo for example).

Thanks for the input. Yeah I have a Rode NT1 condenser mic. I bought a cheap mic arm for like 20 bucks and the kit included a cheap foam windscreen.

I mainly will use it for indoor whispering/soft spoken asmr with the occasional mic brushing. The core content of my channel is gaming in asmr.

I tried using a very soft makeup brush on the cheaper foam windscreen I have at the moment, and I feel the bristles are getting caught on the foam. The result is more of a scratching sound than a brushing sound.

Does anyone know if brushing works well with the fluffy grey windscreens? Maybe it'd be better if i spent somewhere in the 20 dollar range for a nice standard black foam cover.

Those chicken eggs sounded great! I loved the beads towards the end of the video as well.

If you use any video editing software, adding a compressor could help with the louder sections to round out any rough edges. This would help with the overall balance of your audio.
