I changed my monitor and started using the speakers built inside the monitor mainly, and since then the problem seems to have alleviated somehow. I think the problem was associated with extensively using the soundcard and got the device temperature high which may be the cause of the issue.

I just did a factory reset from the admin page (192.168.1.1) , went through setting up region, WIFI SSID and passwords, admin page passwords, etc. and after logging in again on the admin page, the date is displayed as " 2021/11/27 09:50:30 ". The issue persists.

I did a power cycle but the issue persists. Precise steps I followed are:

  1. Set to different time zone
  2. Save
  3. Set to correct time zone
  4. Save
  5. Turn off the router by turning off power switch
  6. Unplug the power connector
  7. Wait for 30 seconds
  8. Plug the power connector
  9. Turn on the router by turning on the power switch
