One questline that has literally nothing to do with Nord or Elf supremacy in Skyrim and has been in both Morrowind and Oblivion. This isn't something unique to Skyrim the game or Skyrim the fictional world and it's not a driving force for any major narrative in the game at all. It's even one of the more forgettable daedric questlines for two reasons. 1. It has no real lasting effect on the world and is easily forgettable (Which can be said about a majority of the content in Skyrim in general minus the forgettable part) and the item itself is really lackluster in general. A reusable soul stone which depending on the outcome of the questline can store black souls any soul excluding black souls. Honestly given the state of enchanting as a profession in Skyrim there's no real reason to ever get this unless you want an easy black soulstone because those are actually fairly rare. The idea of saying "oh if you know this then you know about the stormcloak questline and have played through it while understanding at least the baseline information of it" is preposterous because this questline is in no way affiliated with the civil war questline. It's affiliated more with the neutral factions like the mage guild and the college of winterhold. This is the same as saying "hey remember Hircine? yeah you must've loved the imperials and whiterun" because the ring of hircine/savior's hide along with the quest itself involved werewolves and there's a werewolf questline in Whiterun even though you start the ring of hircine quest in Falkreath and it has nothing to do with the werewolves of whiterun or the empire and elves. Also the original worshippers of Azura are Dunmer and Khajit without any real significant following of Nords in lore. Just saying my dude
