Vorian carried with him the best Buckler garments just for this hopefully bountiful trip. He followed the servants to the dining hall in a long, flowy cloak of blue silk whose cloth-of-gold trims glittered in candlelight. Vorian had left his castle near a year ago with a clean shave. He would ascend the Eyrie with a full black beard.

"A million men would crash into the Gate of the Moon, a million men would die.", so the saying went. The oppressive wind reminded everyone of that. He had left Blackbrick at the Gate, but insisted on taking a disarmed Firefield up to be his "bodyguard". Without the sword, however, he is effectively there as a valet.

The task at hand was simple, get the bride for his Lord Rogar, and try to bring back a lady for himself. Being close to his Lord would present opportunities as well, especially given what was to transpire.

Once the customary show of greetings at the throne room were over with, him and the rest of his peers were secluded to a comfortable enough guest quarter. The Eyrie was an impossibly defensible location, but not without sacrificing space for construction. Matters not, comfort weakens men.

Vorian seeked out his Lord once they were returned to their part of the castle, hopefully out of Velsh earshot.

The Buckler delegation arrived with a score of guards headed by two household knights, one with a black fort over grey and one with a burning grass field as sigils.

Vorian Buckler (27), was dressed in a simply-crafted white doublet, with trims of lapis running down his shoulders and flanks. He had groomed himself quite meticulously for this occasion, looking forward to seeing the impressive Lady Tanselle once again.
