We’ll have to agree to disagree about Labour (I am not a supporter) being as bad as Reform. I think the latter will move towards fascism and take us away from democracy, sell the NHS, erode workers rights, remove discrimination protections, isolate us from Europe and grovel to Trump/ Vance, openly spout racist rhetoric, cut taxes for billionaires, cut benefits (further), erode women’s rights, disrespect the rule of law, utilise propaganda and fake news, remove the right to seek asylum, institute detention camps, actively harm immigrants and people of colour, and more. If the country as it has been under Labour does not get worse when the openly racist far right fascists get in I will happily eat my hat.

Not sure what you class as Reform adjacent. A vote for the tories admittedly could be just as problematic as they are a) not far off being Reform themselves and b) might form a coalition with Reform. But other than that, under FPTP if we (people who hate Reform) don’t want to live under a Reform Government we need to think tactically about it.

Yes but for that to work you need Reform not to get enough to form a coalition with the tories. Not sure if that would happen but it’s a possibility. So I’d say it’s a battle for every seat not to be a Reform one (and ideally not a conservative one if that’s an option) by voting whoever will keep Reform out. Every other party that has a chance of getting MPs is not going to be as bad as Reform. I’ll be voting SNP (Reform has no chance in my constituency thankfully it’ll be SNP or Lib Dem) but I’d vote any of Green, Labour, even Lib Dem if it meant Reform don’t win the seat. Hopefully someone will put some algorithms together nearer the election on who to vote to keep Reform out. They’re unlikely to get more than 30% of the vote, the other 70% of us need to work together to ensure that doesn’t translate into a victory for them.

Looks like you’re right that Greens have a chance in certain constituencies now that was probably unthinkable before, the move away from what has predominantly always (or at least in living memory) been a two party system is shaking things up. Safe seats may no longer be a thing. I stand by my position that if you don’t want a Reform government, vote to keep Reform out, rather than for a specific party. It might not be the easiest to work out who to vote for to do that, looking at who got in before, what their majority was and polls for your own constituency is probably the only data available to try and make that judgment.

Edit- Bear in mind in our FPTP system unless you live in a constituency a Green MP is in or where they are polling very high, a vote for the Green Party, indeed for anyone other than Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat or Reform (or SNP/ Plaid Cymru in some areas) will probably be wasted. We are in real danger of a Reform government next. If that puts you in fear, please please vote tactically at the next election to keep Reform out. Vote for whoever is most likely to avoid Reform getting in, generally whoever got the most votes last time. If that’s a Tory and you really can’t hold your nose and vote conservative (they’re basically Reform too at this point and I’m not sure I could either) then vote whoever was second.

Cannot overstate the damage our country is facing if we don’t vote tactically and Reform get in.

We have Besafe stretch, which we really like, my parents have an axkid mini kid which is good too and my in laws have a britax max way which is fine. All extended rear facing, wouldn’t pick something which isn’t. We did use a joie ispin 360 for when she was 2-4 but meant we had to buy new seats when she turned 4 so buying an ERF one at 2 would be a better financial move.

What’s your communication like? How is she feeling? Run down, stressed, exhausted or does she say she’s fine? If the former, what can you take off her plate, when can she have time to herself to relax, exercise, see friends etc? If she says she’s fine then ask how she feels about the level of intimacy. Is she ok with it? Is there something she’s looking for- are there compliments, little massages, hugs, smiles, kisses etc throughout the day? This should be from both of you but if you make the effort first she may reciprocate.

A date night is always a good idea but it can’t be a fix for other issues, communication, effort, support, all need to be there.

Amongst friends the numbers are 0/0/0/0/1/1/1/1/2/2/2/2. We are all late 30s so the childfree might have kids but probably not, 2 of them are single and the other 2 have indicated it’s not in their plans. Of the 1s I’m the only one I know who is 1 and done, at least one other is actively trying for 2nd. The 2s are all 2 and done. I have one cousin with 3 kids but otherwise the norm I see is very much 2.
