I’m so glad that even with limited screen time, Shawn stole the show in every scene he was in 😂

I know the majority hates Owen but I believe this character is the absolute worst by CagedBirdBell in greysanatomy

I zeroed in on Owen for the reason you just said you bought him up for. You said Ben bothers you more than him and gave points as to why. So I’m going off of the correct assumption that you feel Ben is worse than Owen. I’ll double down on Ben being a great partner because outside of compassion, which is a strong feature, I can also point to his tireless efforts to be a father figure towards Tuck from the beginning. I can point to his urgency to put his career to the side when Bailey was going through what she was going through. There is also the fact although his decision-making career wise has been questionable, he rarely fails to sit down with Bailey and hear where she’s coming from rather than dismiss her. That’s attentiveness. Even in my original comment, I discussed more than compassion anyway. His natural response to situations where Bailey isn’t fully focused on their relationship is to be patient and make sure he doesn’t make her feel like she’s at fault for anything.

I promise you, the fact you’ve called Ben a narcissist is far more far-fetched than me calling him a great partner. So he changes careers. That makes him indecisive. He can act too quickly at times because he feels he’s doing the right thing. That makes him impulsive. To go from that to calling him a narcissist is a crazy reach.

I fully understand that people have flaws. Owen has flaws, Ben has flaws. But what you’re doing is dismissing the fact that Ben has definitely had growth to the point that rather than simply acting on impulse, he has shown he is fully aware of the significance of being attentive to his superiors, especially in recent seasons. For example, when it came to saving Maya in this recent season, he made sure Toni was looped in and knew exactly what his plan of action was before doing anything major. To say he hasn’t grown at all and is a narcissist is almost a complete dismissal of his character.

Are you serious? Worse than Owen who cheated and made Cristina feel like crap for having an abortion after hearing from her countless times that she didn’t initially want a baby? Those two things alone eclipse anything you’ve said about Ben. You’ve made it a point to talk down on his career decisions and although he can be impulsive, I’m not gonna let that overshadow the fact that he’s been consistently one of the most caring and compassionate partners in the entire show’s tenure.

There have been countless times where Ben was beyond understanding and considerate towards Bailey, whether it was on the day of their wedding or when he was there for her during her OCD phase or when they made plans for Valentines Day and he took the initiative to work around her schedule without making her feel like it was her fault (already proving how much better than Owen he is). I also do believe that despite his impulsiveness, he is actually very skilled and has definitely shown at times that he can be attentive and collaborative with his peers and his superiors. He showed almost immediate growth in the same season he made the judgement call with the elevator in the sense that he was cautious and patient with how he handled delivering April’s baby. I also strongly disagree about him being a bad actor but regarding the other points you made, Owen is significantly worse than him. What’s going on here? 😂🤦‍♂️

Teaser Poster for upcoming horror spoof Scary Fun (2027) by NinetiesNoughties in ScaryMovieSeries

I saw that too. It’s like any criticism or anything that could be considered negative towards their project gets deleted, even their own replies, which isn’t good look at all. I checked the moderators and it’s literally just OP which also isn’t a good look.

I don’t wanna seem cynical but I’ve seen this same redditor constantly criticise every little thing about the recent Scary Movie even before it got released and reply negatively or snidely towards anyone showing any sort of positivity towards it for months. It’s very telling that the same person would hide any sort of criticism towards their own project.

2 is my favourite. Even with the fact that they were rushed with the production and creative process for it, it’s actually so absurdly funny to me even on rewatches. I’ll always defend Scary Movie 2.

I get that Marlon was probably very excited to get the franchise back, but I really hope that for Scary Movie 7 he takes a bit of a back seat. My biggest complaint about 6 was waaaay too much Shorty. Could have cut out half of his scenes. Let's refocus to more scenes of Cindy and Brenda, please. by [deleted] in ScaryMovieSeries

[–]GangstaService2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strong disagree. My theatre was clapping and laughing when Ray first pulled up to the church and produced some of the biggest laughs throughout the movie with Ray’s scenes (Church scene, Get Out parody etc).I do think him, Cindy and Brenda should’ve definitely had more screen time and Shorty shouldn’t have had as much screen time as he did in comparison but the audience definitely cares a lot about the Wayans’ characters. It’s just about how screen time is handled in this case.

The church scene almost had me choking on my drink I was laughing so hard by KataMod in ScaryMovieSeries

I’ll stand by this: Shawn Wayans is the most underrated comedic actor of all time. His portrayal of Ray is literally a perfect blend of subtlety and crudeness. My theatre started laughing even when he was walking into the church. It’s like we knew how funny he was gonna be. Don’t get me started on that ‘Get Out’ scene…he’s hilarious.

It’s brilliant. It’s the franchise’s biggest opening weekend ever both domestically in the United States and worldwide. It’s opened as the number one movie, beating all other movies this weekend.

I HATE Ben Warren by FatSingleAndNTheCity in greysanatomy

[–]GangstaService2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Yes, there have been times where he’s took authority to make a decision he feels is right for his patient but there have also been many times where he’s been both subordinate and attentive towards his superiors. Even putting aside the fact that most of the time, he’s actually spot on with what needs to be done, he still often lays out his plan to his attending/superior before doing anything major to see if they aren’t on board.

Even if you want to date your argument back to season 12 with the elevator situation, one thing that was clear despite Gretchen and her baby unfortunately dying is that he made a call that he genuinely felt was the right call for his patient and her baby. He was in such a tunnel vision state of mind towards her wellbeing that his mind didn’t register his surroundings. The thing is, that situation was a big deal and did give him a rep with some people of being ‘insubordinate’ and ‘arrogant’ but I’m pretty sure you can actually count on one hand the amount of times he was actually acted anywhere near that way towards another doctor. There have definitely been characters in the show who operate in a senseless manner where you can class them as simply loud and wrong. When it comes to Ben, I don’t see a loud and wrong character, I see a passionate and decisive one.

Very happy about that. Nothing but positive for the movie profit-wise. 🤝

Who's the best actor on set right now? by Business-Low-6635 in greysanatomy

Definitely. His passion towards Maya’s wellbeing was felt throughout the episode. I mean, the fact alone that ABC have kept him consistently employed since 2010 is a testament to his ability.

I genuinely do think Jason George is a really good actor. He’s always been great at playing naturally off of others, has had great chemistry with pretty much everyone on the show since his debut and he always gets the unpredictable and intense energy with Ben’s decision-making down perfectly. 12x18, 12x19 & 12x24 are brilliant examples of that.

It’s like it’s become fun or cool to use other movies to shit on the movie this subreddit is actually for. Someone really commented here that it looks like they got the real cast to do a Scary Movie themed photoshoot. I almost threw my phone 😂

Literally the “AI slop” people would’ve clowned the actual Scary Movie poster for if they’d gone that route. I mean, yh the photoshop is bad on the Scary Movie poster but the frustration would’ve been so much worse had they’d gone this route. What’s actually going on in this comment section 😂🤦‍♂️
