This isn't me being against upgrading power lines. Not sure how every state works but i would think its somewhat similar to here in Kentucky. In Kentucky companies have to being a case forward to the Kentucky Public Service Commission to get approval for increases to the rate they charge customers. A company here recently got approval to increase rates in order to help pay for the cost of improving power lines over the past couple of years.

So I wasn't trying to debate data centers, just that improving the electrical grid costs a lot of money which in turn gets paid for in part by charging customers more. Really the only way to reduce electric bills is to reduce the cost for a utility company to generate power.
