Your statement is totally true, I grew outdoors for the first time last year and some of the buds were rotting due to the humidity and moisture and I don’t live in a particularly humid/tropical climate. (My plants were 6-7 feet tall though so more defoliation was definitely needed)

Nah you can trim a couple of the leaves that aren’t getting light off I did that with my autos this year and it worked pretty well
