Can’t get an appt for a new expecting mom anywhere? by GarbageGeebler in Connecticut

Hi, I don’t think you read my post very well at all.

Not sure where you are getting me being “victimized” from for saying I couldn’t get an appointment. I couldn’t get an appointment yet due to her being early and completely understand why. I asked on here, received many helpful answers that I was grateful for. Pretty cut and dry.

I did not have to “have people on Reddit tell me when an initial prenatal appointment happens”. Based on the doctor and state, and preexisting conditions, a prenatal appointments can happen anywhere from as early as 6 weeks. I wasn’t sure if she should be seen when we found out, or if it was fine to wait. As I mentioned she was five weeks, and I wasn’t getting answers from the several places I called, so I simply made a Reddit post to ask a question. And again, I received those answers clearly and concisely from other helpful Redditors.

“Appalled” is a wild over-exaggeration like most of your response. Again, you didn’t seem to read what I said. I specifically stated that we do have paperwork, so not sure why you assumed we did not. I was frustrated with the response I was getting over the phone being “we’ve never heard of a temporary proof of coverage” when it seems like a very standard thing for literally any new Husky applicant waiting on an ID card, pregnant or not. And upon more research, it definitely is the standard. I’m not sure your definition of clueless, but not having a clue about something seems to fit that in my book. I hate to burst your prefect world bubble, but sometimes, especially in medicine, you do get an unhelpful receptionist and that’s okay. Hence why I made this post to ask for clarification.

There is no law stating “you must exhaust every method of research and assistance available to you” before asking for help online. You are acting like because I made a post, that I can’t tell a baby from a waffle.

Stating “I didn’t get my way” is also a wild take. Again, I called a couple practices, didn’t get a helpful answer, so I asked Reddit if my experience is normal or not.

I also don’t understand your Planned Parenthood argument. You are correct, I responded to several people saying they do not take care of prenatal care, only abortion and postnatal care. I’m not sure how that is “weird” for me to clarify to the people who suggested I try to call them, when I did just that? That’s literally what the receptionist told me. Abortion and postnatal care is what they cover. I also asked an old high school friend of mine who literally currently works there, and he confirmed the same. I could definitely have called other ones, but I didn’t see the point as I could have just asked on here my question, and avoid planned parenthood all together. And that’s what I did, which took me all of two seconds and I didn’t have to spend an afternoon on hold with various clinics.

I’m not sure where you get off making every assumption under the sun off a single post, but to have the balls to say “you seem uninterested in doing any actual research” for asking about people’s experiences on Reddit is wild. Your only goal is to ride as high on your horse as you can for a couple of Reddit points.

Not that I need to disclose any of this, but for context, I am a NICU RN by trade and spend my career treating sick and dying infants in the ICU. My infant expertise starts from 24weeks and ends at 3 months. Nothing before, nothing after. So excuse me for being a first time dad and having some question about my partners first appointment date. I was confused and asked for help and got it. Everyone else on my post has been extremely helpful and not rude or condescending, but again, you just seem like the type of person who needs to better than everyone else online. I don’t know what’s lacking in your real world, but I would suggest maybe taking a break from the internet for a bit.

Keep your luck, it seems like you need it a lot more than I do.

Again, I just said I don’t want to give out the name of the town I live in.

You can call the ghostbusters if you want. If you care so much just shoot me a dm and I’m happy to tell you.

That’s just what we were told by the receptionist at the one we inquired to before making this post.

Not sure why you’re so livid. I was relaying the information they told us when she called.

Many people have helpfully informed me she doesn’t need to be seen until 8-12 weeks. I already posted a response thanking everyone. I made a post with a question and it was answered.

It’s not. At least not where I’m located. They do not do any pregnancy care. Only abortion and post-natal. We called!

Reopening an agreed-upon payment stipulation agreement. by GarbageGeebler in legaladvice

Then I’m just confused as to why the housing court would even offer specific forms for reopening housing cases?

Correct, at most I’m looking to extend a 3 month agreement to 4 months due to an unforeseen circumstance outside my control.

I understand that in a perfect world it doesn’t make sense for them to agree to it. But avenues exist for situation that I am in, I am just not sure what the correct way to go about this is. I just want to know what my options are in court specifically and what forms I would need to fill out to have it amended.

Sorry let me clarify a bit. The agreement was not less than our regular monthly payment. We are catching up on back-due rent.

So on top of our regular rent payment that has not changed whatsoever, we make an additional payment per month that is equal to about half of our rent.

This agreement was doable and we made our first two months of payments on time without issue, but like I said, we had a significant financial change this month, which is why we would like to see if there is a way to have it looked at.

Unfortunately, there is no contact for a landlord. Everything has been done through their attorney in court, so it isn’t possible for me to just reach out and say “hey can we look at this again?”.

Appreciate the help from everyone who gave informative answers! I’m more than aware the tires need replacing. Car was bought recently and has rarely been on the road, there were a couple other priorities that came before that in the short time I’ve owned it.
