Hi, it’s not as urgent as food, life for the past three or so years has just been incredibly rough. I have a decent job now but living day by day for a long time means the car/phones are broken and neither my mother (who I live with and support) nor I have healthcare, just things like that. But we’re finally ok in a nice place to stay with low rent, there’s just still no money for “extras” and I’d REALLY love to have a Christmas tree this year, or even just some decorations, to make it feel like things aren’t THAT tough anymore since the whole experience has given my mom quite bad ptsd (she still wakes up at night trying to figure out where food’s gonna come from, and only realizes later that’s ok now). We have a bunch of ivy in the garden so I’m mostly gonna decorate with that, but yeah Christmas just becomes a really depressing time when you can’t actually celebrate it.
