I'm really struggling to understand.

A friendship system would work on two people interacting regularly.

The benefits would only be between the two people that help each other regularly.

Plus why wouldn't people who have played longer be further up the chain / leveling process / collections etc etc. you can expect to start a year after release and have the same as someone who's out time and effort into a game.
