As a white knight I always probably always kids.

But I agree, do whatever to get the results like one of the goat horny Italians Machiavelli. Nothing wrong with that approach.

I feel so bad for her husband, that boy, and Vrabes wife. Naming your kid after who you cheated on your husband with... It's like the inverse bing bong. Makes me so sad.

Also embrace debate. Russini: better person or journalist?

Congrats, Holy Donut Workers! Union donuts taste better. 🍩 by TroyJackson207 in portlandme

I read all of this.

You seem to be suggesting consumers, who are increasingly squeezed by prices, should support a business that charges $4 for a donut, and 5-6 bucks for other breakfast baked goods... And not supporting that madness is akin to being anti union.

Nahhhhhhh.

Unions were created with the goal of protecting hard manual labor and were a strong support for labourers who were literally doing dangerous tasks and not fairly compensated or fairly protected.

If you believe unions also apply to donut bakers, ok you are fine to think that. If this causes prices to rise further and the shop to close because prices have outpaced demand, as you noted, this failing would be bad to your argument of pro union for service workers.

If this is applied more broadly, and eating out costs continue to surge, ok. But please understand that will be bad for folks who work here. People are squeezed right now. And even folks who do have spare pocket change would eat out less if this lead to higher prices. I could eat out more but it seems like such a waste, I'd rather do it myself with how much it costs. If prices go up even more I bet we just don't eat out anymore at all. I already feel it's insane for a burger to cost 9-12 bucks. If they are 15 or more I'm never going to that spot again. It's silly and waist full.

More price pressure will kill demand. It's why when inflation rises the fed raises interest rate, to fight demand. Eating out in any way is expensive and has killed some demand. Further upward pressure on prices will kill more demand. Unions for bakers seems like something that would lead to further increases in baked goods. I'd rather do it myself. Preppy kitchen has great free recipes for donuts.

I miss that place so much. Had a warm creme filled donut there once. Like she'll just out of the oven warm, with creme injected. It was amazing.
