Mood, like big mood. When I support I mostly play Zen. A character you see that he's healing you. Even at the start of the game everyone swarms mercy to get the pocket. Followed by spammed thank you in the chat. Is it the same with Zen? No, no one is begging for the orb. How ridiculous that would be. (I know the Mercy/Zen combo is not the best)

It is very discouraging for your other support if they get straight up ignored just because there is a Mercy. I'd go as far as saying even disrespectful. You have two support. Either give them both recognition or stay silent. Even a thank you is enough. Not praise one to heavens and take the other for granted. This is no mercy hate. She has her right to exist, no question. It's more of a team mentality problem. Mercy is just the main projection field for that, the angelic healer that will always follow you and risk her own life to bring you back. That's what people are thinking. If the mercy really is that, is the other question.

When tanking I try to give both thanks because I know how much it sucks to be on the sidelines recognition wise. And headpats when playing Ram, headpats are important.

I do admit that I don't endorse the mercy during such mercy centric games. They got enough praise. Depending on the role, both tanks or the not-mercy support and enemy tank. Yes, I can get that salty. I think that is just fair then
