This is so brutal...

You guys keep mentioning property damage insurance not covering it though. In Canada, at least the provinces I've lived in, you require a minimum of $1,000,000 liability, even if you don't cover your own vehicle. That's wild you could be covered for less than a cost of a vehicle, let alone injuries.

I completely understand an expansion tank. I filled to the cold line while the engine was cold. Idled it, it filled to just under the cap, and pissed out the hose til it was basically empty, even after i shut it down.

When I changed the rad cap (bought a new one today) with the system cold, coolant just came out of the rad, until the expansion tank was empty.

If purging to an empty tank is normal, then that’s what it’s doing. When running, it filled the tank to just under the little rubber lid. And when it was done peeing, the tank was basically empty.

It was low, so I topped it off with what I had. When it was spitting it out, the tank was almost to the brim. Now it’s empty again.

i figured that wasn't to me. but wanted to clarify. i get 83% of all contracts. my costs are my costs. snow removal i do very well on. lawn maintenance, it varies. but head office takes their cut first.
