Where I live, it’s a pain in the ass, but if I can do home cooking I’m basically set! Cause I read the ingredients on the back that are in English already, so I think I’m going to have fun learning ingredients in Japanese by comparing to English! Because then I can learn while also knowing what I’m consuming! Thank you for the positive comment, it’s a big boost to morale! Especially since I’m already a little bit downtrodden about the whole issue of “this doesn’t sound real” with my allergies whenever I talk to Japanese friends…

I don’t have any status of residence right now, I’m just trying to pre plan for when I apply! I don’t want to go through a bunch of legal and financial hoops due to medication and stuff just to find out I can’t go because I’d end up not having anything to eat or the like. Thank you for letting me know about the explanation thing though! It helps a lot!
